Right now in my Cd changer

My Chemical Romance

Flogging Molly

Millincolin

Rise Against

Motion City Soundtrac

Fall Out Boy (cork tree)

How's the new Fall Out Boy album? I bought the last one and thought it was garbage and gave it away, but i heard the new one's supposedly better.

Also, are you going to see Flogging Molly on the 13th? I'll be up in Milwaukee seeing them the 11th and then on my way to Reel Big Fish and Coldplay in Wisconsin that weekend...

I love the new Fall Out Boy CD. Definately a keeper in my book (of course I liked the previous one as well...this one's better though).

I'm out in California so I won't be at the show on the 13th. However, I'm seeing them on the 29th or 30th down in San Diego @ Screet Scene along with Rise Against, The Killers, The Used, Death Cab and a few others.

I've just recently gotten into Flogging Molly. At first I thought it was weird, but now it just rocks.

That's how it was with me, I saw them play at Irish Fest out here at Gaelic Park in Oak Forest and I had a lot of fun so my buddies who liked them previously are taking me to Milwaukee to see the show.

In the player: Funeral - The Arcade Fire

5 CD's to bring on an island:

1. Quiet is the new Loud - Kings of Convenience

2. Desire - Bob Dylan

3. Arthur - The Kinks

4. Kid A - Radiohead

5. Turn on the Bright Lights - Interpol

i agree with every album you have there...sometimes i think the kings of convenience get a little bland...i much prefer belle and sebastian though that is somewhat of an unfair comparison...still, sometimes ill just turn on a kings of convenience song and it can really just elevate you.

Little known fact by many people:

Dave King, the vocalist from Flogging Molly, is the former lead vocalist from 80's Metal/Blues RnR band Fastway that was formed by "Fast" Eddie Clark and Pete Way. Fastway's first two albums Fastway and All Fired Up are both amazing albums. Check out "Tell Me" and "Easy Living" and be amazed at what an amazing voice King once used!

For the record though, I also do enjoy Flogging a whole bunch, but I also am a huge fan of Celtic Folk.

EDIT: Oh, also have to mention that the drummer was Jerry Shirley from Humble Pie. So when people say that Fastway was a Zepplin rip-off, they are wrong, as Pie was doing the same thing as LZ was at the same time. And if anything, LZ ripped off Pie mainman Steve Marriot. Heck, Page even wanted Marriot as the vocalist for Zep.

O.K., music lesson over.

I've got 64 CDs in the car as of now, dozens more on the computer. Lately I've been immersed in the following:

Kammerflimmer Kollektief - Absencen

Kraftwerk - Minimum Maximum

Efterklang - Springer

Sufjan Stevens - Illinois

Listening to M83 - A Guitar and A Heart right now, which is easily their best song. Downloaded !!!'s Louden Up Now, and it's a massive piece of s***.

What's a CD?

Ever since I got the iTrip for the iPod, I unfortunately never listen to CDs anymore. Not even in the car.

But I recently purchased from iTunes:

Audioslave

White Stripes

Weezer

Mars Volta

Beck - Guero

Black Eyed Peas

Foo Fighters

I like the Itrip, its a really cool and handy little device. But I will be completely honest with you, as soon as I can afford a head unit with an Ipod adapter Im gonna get it. There is a definite and audible dropoff in sound quality with the Itrip, and it really drives me nuts. Im sort of a perfectionist when I listen to music, I strive for clarity, and I listen to music LOUD in my car. You kind of have to haggle with the Ipod when you move from song to song.

I'll go ahead and take credit for most of those :P

And that street scene thing sounds wicked badass. Social Distortion, Flogging Molly, and Rise Against are the three best live bands I've ever seen.
