No Free Agent Teams

I had an interesting thought...

Which team would be the best right NOW if they had only players that they drafted. If a player has been drafted by more than one team, lets assume he would play for the team that first drafted him.

Can anyone compile a list of the best teams according to this method??

It's safe to say the Yankees would be the worst team ever it is werent for Free Agency.

Hmmm..  Thats a good question.

Derek Jeter, Bernie Williams, Mike Lowell, Mariano Rivera, Jorge Posada, Andy Pettitte,

The White Sox pitching staff would be Buehrle, Kip Wells, Jeff Weaver, McCarthy, Josh Fogg.....

Lineup of Aaron Miles, Big Hurt, C Lee, Maggs, Crede etc...

Outside of us, Im thinking Oakland would be sitting pretty as well.

Kip Wells, Josh Fogg, Brandon McCarthy. That's a pretty s***ty starting rotation.

Aaron Miles...um no. Try Ray Durham.

Expos have traded away the most talent by far. You can make three teams up with their players alone.

Off the top of my head:

C: Michael Barrett

1B: Brad Fullmer

2B: Jose Vidro

SS: Orlando Cabrera

3B: Mark Grudzielanek

LF: Cliff Floyd, Rondell White

CF: Milton Bradley

RF: Vlad Guerrero, Larry Walker

SP: Javier Vazquez

SP: Miguel Batista

CL: Ugueth Urbina

They have also traded away Larry Walker, Pedro Martinez, and Moises Alou. But if your talking only draftee's, then I shall STFU. :chair

Such a complex question. When does the cutoff start? 1990? 1995?

Well, Walker was on my list. Seeing how he was originally signed by the Expos.

And yes this is going strickly by Draftees. If you go by just players who have been on thier team but then traded away the list gets much larger.

Cubs Would Have a Deadly  Pitching Staff

Mark Prior

Dontrelle Willis

Jon Garland

Kerry Wood

Greg Maddux

Jamie Moyer as a long reliever

Prior was drafted by the Yankees before the Cubs.
