Wedge
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 07:04 PM) Hasn't Contreras owned the Indians in his career? I wouldn't say he's a good starter by a start against a team he hasn't ever had a problem with. How many times are we (or more importantly Contreras) facing the Indians in the second half? Probably a few. Maybe Burnett will always pitch horrible against them or other AL Central teams.

That is also the reason the White Sox are lucky Aaron wants every flyball hit to the outfield.

Chemistry has nothing to do with it. Contreras walks martinez with two outs. Just get through the damn inning please.

You never see a CF'er run into LF to back up the LFer. Left-center is one thing, but that ball was in straight-away left...

KevHead0881
Great heads up play by Aaron there. Although this team has great chemistry, I don't think it applied to this situation right here.
Dick Allen
QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 07:07 PM) LOL. How is that lack of concentration? He lost it in the freaking lights. That's meant to be sarcasm right? He didn't lose it in the lights. It was hit too high. He lost it in the sky. Podsednik is probably picking the ball up off the bat. With all the trouble he has had this year losing balls in the sky, he has to concentrate on the ball out of Contreras' hand. I know it doesn't seem like it makes a difference, but it really does. But you don't see a CF'er ever back-up the LF'er in straight-away left field... No but the response of mine you quoted was asking soxnbears how that play anything to do with chemistry. No chemistry was involved... it was just a smart heads up play by one of the best ''fielding'' center fielders in the game.
Milkman delivers
With the way Cotts pitched right before the break, I'm a little wary of bringing him into a 1-run game.
