Don't look now, but Oakland is only 3 games back of Minnesota for the Wild Card, and 1.5 games back of Texas for second(though still 8 back of Anaheim).  Going 27-11 over a stretch of 38 games with the offense finally catching some fire didn't hurt, did it?

Anyone can win with 3 aces, eh Hawk?  :rolly

LOL!

They're on their hottest streak of the season and they're still 2 games above .500.

Oakland is 3.5 games back and is behind 5 other teams for the Wild Card.

Were you satisfied with the results last weekend?

Caught this on BBTN; they cut right to it during their broadcast. Of course right when they cut to it, next pitch...perfect game over. :P

WTG, BBTN. Jinx.

ESPN jinxed two people last night. They cut to Raffy Palmeiro everytime he was at bat to catch his 3000th hit, and he didnt do anything.

Then when they cut to Harden, after they already missed the first out of the inning in which Texeira struck out, Soriano immediately got a hit.

Well, considering everyone was bashing the hell out of Oakland when they were down, saying that they might be worse than Kansas City -- it's kind of funny where all those people have gone.

They're starting to get healthy, too. Durazo should be back soon, they've gotten Harden and Crosby back -- and, it will be interesting to see what Kennedy will do for them. Note: I said interesting, not good, not bad -- just, he's out of Coors now, and apparently Beane has liked him for a long time.

I'm not gonna say that they'll win the win the West, or the WC for that matter, but they're certainly a team to keep your eye on. Especially after all the 'experts' took their shots at kicking Oakland when they were down in April.
