KW on the score

KW was on the score and said that nothing big was gonna happen. he said all major moves will subtract significantly from the major league team and that trading away prospects is one thing, but subtracting from the current team isnt a good option. he said that teh rumors that are out there are pretty much done with and that they wont happen.

imo, im not too disappointed because the market is awful. im not sure that anyone that is available would truly help this team. burnett would, but not for major league players. same as schmidt. wagner is the only guy i can see that will help.

I believe KW. At least, he better be telling the truth. It's not worth the cost to get Schmidt or Burnett if it involves trading talent from the MLB team. Maybe we'll get a minor deal off, but just adding Frank back to our line-up was a pretty good "acquisition". Gload will be nice, if he ever gets up, too.

Dream on. Gload is not coming back.

Thats a focking confirmation. The minute he starts the giggling or the "who is that player, have I ever heard of this player" Then a deal is in the works.

If Gload comes back, it'll be in September for the roster expansion or a little bit before so he can qualify for the post-season.

I am actually hoping KW doesn't over spend for these SP and holds on to get either Wags or Guardado...I know he is hurt but it doesn't seem to be bothering him now...

I want wagner but I think guardad would be easier and cheaper to get.

The market is weird this year. Watch out for the last week in July. It's only next week but that's when some teams are really going to take stock of their season and fish or cut bait. I happen to believe that one of those teams is the Los Angeles Dodgers. If the Mets have any sense at all they will also look to deal.

I'm not trying to sound like some blowhard douche bag, I'm really not. But I work with someone who's married to a member of the white sox. I pick her brain on occasion when she's on the west coast and we spoke recently about the sense on the team that a trade is going to be made. She says these guys don't want it. They like what they have and don't want to f*** with it. She said they really do get along very well (although there are the occasional tools!).
