GoodAsGould
Giambi is having a better season than Konerko this year
nitetrain8601
I say put Rowand at 2 and Iguchi at 3rd. Iguchi gets to hit for power like he's accustomed to and we get to see if Rowand just needs to be in the 2 spot.
southsider2k5
Aaron Rowand is not a 2 hitter. He can't bunt, and he doesn't have a swing to move runners over. He also doesn't hit well down in the count, and doesn't have the patience to take as many pitches as you need with Pods on base. Rowand in the two hole is not a good idea. Rowand in the two hole is not a good idea. I completely agree, plus the fact there's no f'n reason to mess with the 1-2 in this lineup, arguably they've been the best 1-2 combo in baseball and it just wouldn't be smart to mess with it. southsider2k5
QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 11:43 AM) He seemed to excel in the 2 slot last year. He hit for a high average, that doesn't mean he excelled. We also didn't have a lead off hitter would could get on about 40% of the time, and stealing a base every other game. He would not get the job done.
Rowand44
QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 10:43 AM) He seemed to excel in the 2 slot last year. We also didn't have a very good leadoff hitter last year and he didn't have to move anyone over. Just cause his numbers get better doesn't mean it's better for the team. Ozzie Montana
Our lineup is underachieving right now.
