Bad at bats for both Podsednik and Iguchi in the 9th inning, at least Everett gave a battle.

They cannot throw games away like this.  3 errors and 3 unearned runs, that is horses***.

The cubans are going to get destroyed.

Mark Buerhle is our best pitcher and still got hit.

Whoever was saying this is just like 2000 is exactly right.  How much you want to bet that we mail in the second half and then go out like a b**** in the 1st round.

Playoffs? The way we are playing and the way minny is playing. Dont count your chickens before they're hatched. :nono

Well remember everyone our crack bunch of starters are going to shut down the bosox.  Good Pitching beats good hitting evertime.

Remember 2000 when our good hitting team choked and our pitching played pretty well.  This BoSox team can hit a hell of a lot better than that Seattle team.  Does anyone really thing that Buerhle and our pitching Staff going to shut down this team in the playoffs.  I mean outside of the Whitesox homerism and all really.  Matt Clement did not have his good stuff tonight.  We had a series of solo home runs and bad situational hitting.    Crede was clutch in the 8th but then s*** the bed in the 9th hot dogging.  Why would anyone and I mean anyone put Vizcan in any close game or a close game in the 9th.

Problem is, the formula is good pitching AND good defense shut down good hitting. Didn't have that tonight.

We send down/dump Shingo for not doing the relief job, but Vizcaino has been just as bad. So inconsistent except with the game on the line and he consistently chokes.

Losing Shingo's translator doesn't affect chemistry, I'm afraid. Check Vizcaino's birthplace...

We haven't given away a game this badly all year, including the Oakland series (plural). I guess the one-handed Timo effect is catching on too much in the clubhouse.

I think that Crede was trying to get to the stands and then adjust to the foul pop. He lost his balance and then tried to one hand it....give the guy a break...if anything Crede gained confidence that he can get a huge hit late in the game. We all know that Rowand is major clutch. I will say it again, I put Arow 3rd in the lineup and keep him there.

We don't have good hitting, PERIOD! I'd take almost half of the offenses in the AL over the Sox. I'd rather have Boston, NYY, Baltimore, Detroit, and Texas for sure.

Should be four errors too... :headshake

I wish you were my boss, making excuses for me failing in an easy situation. Crede should have caught that ball, no doubt about it. NO MORE f***ING ONE HANDED BULLs*** IN CLOSE GAMES!

I wanted to puke hearing "Let's go red sox" in our park. We desperately need a Garland win tomorrow or we might get swept in front of full houses four nights in a row which would be disgraceful.

I think 6 of 7 is pretty close to disgraceful already.

Well let's see.

Ramirez was coming up so you want a righthander in there, no one can convince me that Neal Cotts should've been in there period.

So you have a choice of Vizcaino, Hermanson, or Jenks. I presume Hermanson was available but even if he holds them and the White Sox don't score you're still left with Vizcaino or Jenks. He went with the veteran, who gave up a long home run ball on a horrible pitch to a great hitter ... after the 3B drops a pop up.

Can anyone tell they gave this game away with mistakes???

I'm just gonna say this, and never say it again.

If KW doesn't make more than one move, we won't win anything except maybe the Central division. I swear to God that I love this team, but they'll do nothing if no moves are made.

And if they f*** this up, I'll never believe in them again. I'll watch, but I'll never believe they'll have a chance to do anything big.

Mike Jackson was a veteran also. Viz is the 2005 version of Mike.

Why? Cotts is way better against righties than Vizcaino. I don't even understand how someone could take this position.

It doesn't mean as much elsewhere, but it pisses me off hearing that anywhere. Not that many people are born in Boston and move to every city in the US. Bandwagon fans who root against their home town team are the lowest forms of life.

They have not played well at home lately ... at all ... vs. good teams. That to me is disturbing. You'd like to see them rise the occasion and win some of these games, they have tripped all over themselves instead.

That horrible at bat by Uribe in the 8th inning with two outs is really sticking in my craw.

I can't stress how sad it is to constantly watch us s*** our pants after finally getting some good fan support.

Kenny better not be sitting on his hands during the deadline.

Yes and Boston is PREMIUM tickets so much for winning at home lately

Cotts is way better than Viz PERIOD. There is no comparison. I don't trust Viz in a game situation any farther than I can throw him.

Put a cork in it 2nd guesser.

If you were the manager, sit there and tell me you bring in lefthander Neal Cotts to face Manny Ramirez in a tie ballgame.

If Cotts had been brought in and Ramirez HR'd you'd be the first one here screaming at Ozzie, and you damn well know it.

Stop it, please.

Vizcaino did not execute but no one is bringing in Neal Cotts to face Manny Ramirez in that situation except for an internet message board 2nd guesser.
