bigred3535
I was browsing Sox stats, and I didn't realize until now how truly horrible Juan has been so far this year at the plate. He's ranks last in the AL in OPS, and ahead of only Jack Wilson in the NL among players with more than 200 PA. At this point Ozuna would be a better everyday player, but that's not going to happen because Uribe is an Ozzie favorite (Uribe is also somewhat better defensively, I believe). I really hope that KW can get Vizquel or another shorstop, so Uribe can go back to the utility role he excelled at last year.

fathom
The Colorado media predicted this would happen once he got the big contract. I used to be a Uribe fan, but he seems to be a one-year wonder. I'd trade for Omar in a heartbeat.
bulokis
I am a big supporter of Uribe at short full time but right now, we need an upgrade big time.

The only thing more overrated than Uribe's defense on this board is Iguchi's batting in the 2nd spot.

People are always going to say that, but the fact is the Sox weren't willing to offer him a 3 year deal in the off-season, and they won't want to pay $5 million in 2007 for a SS that may not even start every day. If the Giants pay a little of his deal (which they probably won't) however........

If a DL is out there that makes sense, Kenny is going to make it. At the same time I don't want him making a deal just to say he made a deal. It better make some sense cause if you go out and force yourself into something it could be even worse.

Maybe, but when there's the likes of Ozzie's favorite Alex Gonzalez and Rafael Furcal in the upcoming FA market, I tend to think we'll target one of them (although I'm in the minority on that). I hate Alex Gonzalez with a passion too. He's got A. Rowand syndrome, where he'll chase any slider out of the zone with 2 strikes. Furcal would be interesting, but he'll get a lot of money from a big market team.
