Rowand44
QUOTE(letsgoarow @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 05:53 PM) I hope TImo breaks his leg first play of the game That ain't cool. Timo played great last night and has been damn good lately, if you don't like him that's fine but to wish an injury on someone just is dumb. CYGarland
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 02:14 PM) Woohoo, Konerko over Gload Pods, LF ... Rowand, CF ... Everett, DH ... Konerko, 1B ... Pierzynski, C ... Crede, 3B ... Perez, RF ... Uribe, SS ... Harris, 2B ... Garland, RHP. This is a horrible lineup vs. Wakefield. Righties own Wakefield!! Frank owns him, too bad he couldn't have played 1 more game. Where's Dye or Iguchi?? JG better be on his game tonite, or hope the Twins lose. This lineup has to be the worst lineup we've had in 10 years!! I wanna :puke Edited July 23, 2005 by CYGarland
palehose23
everybody Calm down- I love when our fandom has doom and gloom on the brain with a 10 game lead and never losing 4 games in a row this season. Can we just pretend that Ozzie knows what he is doing when he fills out the line up card- after all sox still have the best record in the majors. Greg The Bull Luzinski
I am so glad that in his infinite wisdom has decided that we can afford to concede this game. This is evident by the fact that Timo and Willie are accompanying automatic outs Crede and Uribe in the line-up.

CWSGuy406
QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 11:31 PM) is there any evidence that Gload is a tool? I just wondered why he wasn't brought up sooner, and in an interview today he sounded like a bit of a smart ass. Just asking. I can't speak for everyone, but at Soxfest, he seemed like a really likeable guy. From a player standpoint and from a fan standpoint. JMO, though. Guys, quit b****ing. Good 1-2-3 inning. Be happy. CWSGuy406
Can anyone speak from experience? Steve Stone said in an earler ESPN broadcast (a Wakefield game) that it's easier to hit a knuckleballer from the right side -- and, Victor Martinez, a switch hitter, batted as a righty. I wonder, then, why so many lefties in the lineup...? Why not Ozuna at 2B instead of Harris?

I wonder, then, why so many lefties in the lineup...? Why not Ozuna at 2B instead of Harris? Yes, it's easier to hit knuckleballs as a righty. Roberto Alomar used to always hit Wakefield from the right side.
