Steve9347
after last night, the whole south side it seemed, except for a few enlightened ones (myself included) were prepared to call this season over, and kill themselves. Shocking how one win can change all that.

Kalapse
I was thinking about taking a little break from Soxtalk after the loss last night. Things just get too depressing on here when the Sox lose. If they go out and get shelled tomorrow I think I might just take that vacation but otherwise I'll sticking around.
greasywheels121
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 11:12 PM) I was thinking about taking a little break from Soxtalk after the loss last night. Things just get too depressing on here when the Sox lose. If they go out and get shelled tomorrow I think I might just take that vacation but otherwise I'll sticking around. People just need to think how ridiculous they were acting last night. We were 30 games over and 10 up last night, and that equates to people jumping out windows. We just add 1 game to each of those totals above, and suddenly people are sane again. There needs to be a medium found.

There needs to be a medium found. Some of the s*** that I read last night was just f***ing stupid. Some people have stop being so reactionary. I remember reading someone wanted A.J., Konerko and someone else (I believe Uribe but not sure) shipped out, if that wasn't the most reactionary thing I've ever heard. They want A.J. who is quite possibly the MVP of this team traded because he's hitting 40-50 points below his career average. That's just a f***ing stupid comment. If we lose tomorrow I'm afraid we'll have a repeat. It's really sad.
Kalapse
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 11:30 PM) Very, Very sad. I really think my new plan will just to come here after Sox W's. The site turns into a joke after a loss. That's actually what I've been doing lately, if the Sox win I'll go to the site but if they lose I stay away. It's just such bulls*** that I would have to do something like that.
SoxFan1
I agree wit hall you guys. I was one of the ones who didnt throw the seasin away last night. People act like the world is over after a Sox loss.
SnB
it's been like this for as long as i've ever been here. This place is unreadable after a game like last night. oh well, nothing's going to change.
KJean
I agree. I quite new here on Soxtalk and when I was reading everything people were saying after last night's game, I was wondering where the heck all the fans were. I'm thinking of staying away when we lose too. But it's good to see everyone happy when we win!
DBAHO
Konerko's awful, why is he still in the team? A.J just hits for power, why is he still in the team? We suck at hitting doubles and triples, our offense sucks!!! OOPS, sorry we won. My bad.

Southside hitmen
People need to realize mostly every team loses at least 60 games. Anyone who think we should get rid of AJ after last night game sounds like a person who doesnt know about baseball.. I can see being upset after last night loss but its going to happen its a f***in long season.
whitesoxin'
I stayed off here last night because I knew it would be ugly. Who cares? It's a 162 game season, you're going to have some just like that.
wsox08
All I kept reading was how last night was the worst loss of the season and the most depressing. It was one f***ing game and now that we won the next one everyone is all HURRAY!!! My god...
SoxFan1
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 12:53 AM) Actually you did. Hmmm, uuuuum no. You seriously cannot be considering putting Willie in for Gooch. s***, at least Gooch can get some guys over. Did anybody happen to see the 2 out double he hit past Millar....guess not because there is no damn mention of it anywhere. Come on guys, 1 loss and everybody is ready to seceed the division to the Twins. Gimme a break. All this whining and b****ing anf moaning, get the hell outta here. And all this BS about the league "adjusting to Gooch" is just that, BULLs***. Nobody says that about rookie players, just imported players. Get out of here. No one was complaining about how they "adjusted" to Jon in his rookie year. All this BS about adjusting to imported players is crap too... Oh my god he is in a f***in slump. God damn people here overreact after a game so much. IT IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD!!! Holy s***, he made 1 bad play, as did Crede, and now everyone wants to jump of their respective bandwagons. Gimme a break. We hit a bump in the road, s***! Anyone who even JOKINGLY thinks Willie shoud replace Gooch is a dumbass IMO. Honestly, gimme a break. Every team loses a game once in a while. I'm with fathom on this one. People overreact too damn much! Your absolutely right. Iguchi could have easily made the play on the hard hit ball with the inbetween hop from Big Papi. Fact of the matter is, we lost, we blew it. MOVE THE HELL ON EVERYBODY! Why in the flying f*** would we trade AJ!?!?! OK, he is slumping....give the guy a f***ing break. The pitching would not be where it is without him. He has been nothing but spectacular. I am sick of this s***. We lose 3 in a row and all the sudden the world is going to end! OH MY GOD! Let's have a firesala. Quit your b****ing. Every team loses once in a while s***. Yup, I really threw the season away. I NEVER defend the Sox after tough losses. :headshake

YASNY
The hell of it is, once they start b****ing and moaning, they all just feed off of each other. There are some that are analytically negative. That is, they have some logic behind there posts, and that's cool. But other just rant for the sake of ranting, and maybe to up their post count, but there is no substance behind their boarishness. Basically, it's just lame.

knightni
Avoiding ESPN and suicidal Soxtalk threads after losses is pretty standard for me. I'm all about the fun and the humor of this place, but some of you get downright depressing sometimes.
