witesoxfan
QUOTE(Soxfest @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 11:55 PM) That is AR in a nutshell For starters, Rowand isn't a household name. Secondly, Rowand's had 1 very good year(.905 OPS last year), and has had a few solid years thus far(.816 OPS in 123 ABs in 01, .780 OPS in 157 ABs in 03, and, thus far, a .761 OPS this season), compared to Erstad, who has had a sub-750 OPS in 6 of the last 7 years. DBAHO
Rowand's OPS has increased by about .20 over the past few games, he needs to keep the hot streak going. After the All - Star Game however he has a 1.169 OPS (that was before today though). There's two things I'd like to see Aaron do more, obviously hit for more power, and start taking more walks. He has 1 this month, for a grand total of 17 this season. But his AVG has also gone up about 20 points, which shows the streak he's been on.
