Very nice to see Bmac starting to get himself back on track.  I wonder if he's regaining confidence in his change(which is a good pitch)?

That's what he should be workin on, oh and developing a cutter. :)

Montgomery 6 Barons 5

W-Peguro L- Phillips Sv- Smith

The Rickwood classic the best minor league baseball game all season bar none. In this game Darren Blakely went 3-3 all extra base hits. Phillips start wasn't all the horrible he got some bad breaks with a couple bloop doubles that were called fair by less than 2 inches a ground ball that superballed over Fields head and a bunt single only two of his 6 hits were hard hit balls and out of 78 pitches thrown 64 were strikes and walked no one. Rogo had a pair of hard hit singles and Josh Fields hit a ringing double off the LF Wall for a double. Jerry Owens also had a pair of hits a walk and stolen base. While the Barons hit starter Peguro very well had no luck against the bullpen combination of Rudy Lugo, Josh Parker and Cameron Smith.

Tom, What are your thoughts on all the Barons baserunning blunders this year? Coaching? Bad luck? or just plain terrible base running?

I can't believe all of the different ways I've seen Barons picked off at the bases this year.

well yesterday was bad luck Montgomery took some bold chances on the diamond because if they didn't get an out the tying run would have came up. Other than that we have some young team mistakes out on the bases hopefully they will learn from there mistakes.
