No one will take him. He is stuck in LF of SBC Park...

No one? Why is that? I am sure Anaheim would love to have him and they like to spend money as well. Why would no one take him? His attitude? Please, a lot of teams will look right past that and at his 40 HRs a year.

Those 40 HR's might not return without "the juice"

1) Contract

2) Juice

3) Expensiveness

Look at home much Sabean wants for Vizquel or Schmidt. Now think of how much he would want for Barry f***ing Bonds.

If the Sox would want him, they would have to trade the Birmingham Barons for him + one of Carl/Aaron/Dye.

KW has been trying to get AJB to flip him for Wagner for awhile now, and now has a notion of three team deal where we flip AJB to philly and Philly grabs Baez from TB, we get huff and wagner and supply TB with the prospects.  Doable?

Source? We get Huff AND Wagner..........WOWZA!

that's true. Especially if they use HGH which can only be detected with blood samples. However, most steriod users get comfortable with what they are using and it takes them awhile to get used to new ones. Maybe that's why he is taking the time off? Anyway I wouldn't take my chances on a player that needs to find new steriods to keep performing.

Two things. One, how do you know what Sabean wants for Schmidt and Vizquel?? Second, you're nuts if you think no one would take a shot on Bonds.

Speculation? It does make sense...BUT it seems TB gets screwed unless the prospects are REALLY good

Oh, I don't want him. Let me make that one clear. I despise Barry Bonds, and if you ever met any of my friends, you'd know how much I hate steroids and anyone involved with them.

You're a doctor, right? You certainly know more about steroids than I do, but I read from a few sources that the guys with the money can stay ahead of the testing because new kinds of steroids are made basically every week. One guy I like to read about is Charles Yesalis. He's an expert in steroids at, I think, Penn State. He seems as cynical as me, which is hard to be :P

HGH is a huge problem and it's laughable that it was left out of the new policy.

I'm a physical therapist and athletic trainer. HGH is not only left out of the MLB agreement but also NFL. It's because of the blood sampling that the unions have kept it out. You're right about the development of the new ones.

There may be a few takers for Bonds. But with the uncertainty about the steriods and the knee, I think it will scare most off. Did you know that the surgreon he went to has had his medical license revoked for un ethical practice before? He goes to this guy because he will do what he wants. Many teams are leary of this.

Well, they are trying to unload HUff, and I know Baez is going to be a tough draw, but maybe Philly throws some in too, because we are losing alot, but gaining alot too, philly is losing wagner and some prospects and getting Baez and AJB, and TB is losing two players but getting a ton of top-level prospects. I dunno, its just been speculated. I know that KW needs to pull something off for our bullpen, those guys are tired!!

Haha, yeah. I remember that story. He's pretty much the worst person I've ever heard of that didn't actually kill anyone. He's a selfish, cheating, self-involved racist. Still, a few teams will take him and his enormous salary while giving up a bunch of talent. You just know somebody will, but I wish they wouldn't.

Won't happen. I heard that's one of the main reasons why Florida doesn't want to deal Aj Burnett to the Red Sox because lots of talk say that he'll get flipped for Wagner which means the Marlins have to face Burnett in the heat of a playoff spot. I don't see Wagner getting traded and I don't see Burnett getting flipped for anyone unless it's for Schmidt.

As for anyone who asked how do you the price for Vizquel and Schmidt, well they wanted to major league pitchers for Schmidt alone to start with. I'm sure they wouldn't take a lesser deal especially when it involves them throwing in another player who's damn good might I add.

Is HGH not in the MLB Policy or just not tested for? What difference it makes I don't know, but I'm just curious.

I know it's not tested for because they don't do blood testing. I don't know if it's mentioned in the policy or not. But without testing it really doesn't matter.

I dont know for sure. It is part speculation and part a mix of all the reports that have been published in July. But seriously, what do you expect to give up for one of the best players in a while?

I don't think they could mention it in the policy if they won't test for it. This policy is really weak, and is pretty much just a way to pretend they're doing something.

That is true, I heard HGH is against baseball rules, but they don't have a way to test for it. Could this be something that lead to Giambi's better numbers as the season went along? I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.

Again, Anaheim and a some other teams like them that don't mind spending money wouldn't give 2 s***s abot his contract. He would bring enough fans in to the stadim chasing the home run record that the contract wouldn't even matter.

The Juice? HA!! OK. In Barry's case I don't think it is the juice that is helping him. Now if they outlawed body armor and elbow pads in baseball then we may see a different player than the old Bonds.

Expensiveness as to what other teams would have to give up? I can't see it being a lot as SF would be stuck between a rock and a hard place. If his knee does not allow him to play the field where the hell are the Giants going to play him? They have no choice but to trade him. If every team knows this do you really think they are going to pay a lot to get him?

I don't think you are thinking this through completely.
