Wow, with some of the bullpen issues some of the contenders are having, I can't believe noone took a risk,
ceffa2000
Agreed. Hopefully he can get his stuff back in AAA and contribute to a team again.
LosMediasBlancas
He sux, it's no secret. Talk about guy going into the s***ter in 1 year. I mean, not too long ago there was a whole dog and pony show for this guy when he came into the game, lol.

Sox It To Em
Best of luck to Shingo. There's no denying that he's been next to ass-awful this year, but I really hope he can turn it around in Charlotte and then make the team in September come the roster expansion. Dick Allen
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 28, 2005 -> 03:44 PM) He was effective for how many years in Japan? MLB figured him out in 1 year, lmao. His control was not what it was last year. If he gets that back, and he did have it back for a while this season, he still would be fooling hitters. His strikeout rate is still pretty high. IIRC its still over 1 an inning, and considering he throws nowhere near 95, the hitters don't have him totally figured out. Doug Jones went through a year or two of being tatooed and he was the same kind of pitcher Shingo was. He came back, I believe Shingo can as well.
