Jaque Jones' lack of effort pisses off Gardy

This is probably not deserving of its own thread, but I found this quote rather revealing from a team that prides itself on backing each other up:

 

With the bases loaded in the sixth, Jones decided not to try for a diving catch on Cano's broken-bat drive into short right, and the ball fell for a two-run single.

 

"I felt if I dove for it and missed it, everybody would have scored," Jones said.

 

Twins manager Ron Gardenhire disagreed with that decision.

 

"Our thought in the dugout was you have to dive," he said. "We need that play."

Its actually funny, usually they back the players judgmeant on the play but he straight called him out.

I saw the play, he wouldn't of been able to catch it. It was just pver Rodruigez head at 2nd base.
