HE GONE!!!!

Thanks.  I'm starting to get on board a little bit with getting Griffey.  Let him DH for most of the year, then next year, move him to RF, with Dye to first.  So long as Cincy eats a good portion of the contract.

Of course, they could also just go and get Adam Dunn.  One of the two would make me happy.  I really, up until a few days ago, didn't realize just how good a season he was having -- .902 OPS?  Damn...

bout time you come around.

I just think he'd be a perfect fit here. He's always seemed like an easy going, no ego player to me.

He wouldn't have to worry about playing dangerous center and would fit perfect in the heart of this lineup.

We need some meat in the 3/4 spot and everett/konerko don't do that.

I'm all for overpaying for this guy.

Bigbie got dealt for sure.

Remember this post?

A..J. Burnett and Mike Lowell put on their Marlins uniforms Monday unsure if they were doing so for the last time. Once thought to be bounce for Baltimore as a package deal, it appears the two will head to distinct destinations. According to published reports, the Pirates entered the fray and apparently are set to take Mike Lowell and cash from the Marlins along with either Orioles outfielder Larry Bigbie or pitching prospect Hayden Penn. The Orioles would end up with Burnett and Pirates first baseman Daryle Ward. Reliever Jorge Julio would come to Florida along with either Bigbie or Penn. The deal also would reunite the Marlins with a familiar face. Left-hander Mark Redman would fill Burnett's spot in the rotation. "The Marlins know him and he knows the Marlins," one National League source said.

Duque's throwing a lot of pitches again.  Can this guy ever throw a complete game?  I think it's impossible by the laws of physics.

So what? He's our fifth starter. I'll take six innings, three runs from him every night out...
