bulokis
Today's game was awful. Mike Cameron beat the 9 guys we have in the line up. He drove in more runs than the offense we had for the two days against them. I heard an interview of somebody from the Mariners that Cameron was joking about coming to CAMERON FIELD bcoz he owns the sox. That guy also said that Cameron is a free agent this year. With that thought, I think he would look good back at the silver and black. He is a good offensive and defensive CF that we dont have. Rex Hudler
FWIW, his triple should have been a single, or a double at most. Daubach took a horrible angle on that ball (either that or he is just really, really slow, which is possible) and should have cut it off. Not that it made much difference, but out defense doesn't help us. On the bad call at 2B in the 4th, we can blame the umpire or Jose for letting the ball eat him alive. Granted it was a shot, but it ate him up. If he handles that ball or doesn't fall on his ass, the umpire isn't a factor. I just see more and more little ways that our defense hurts us, even when it doesn't go down in the book as an error.

greg775
What is with all these former White Sox players kicking our ass?? It's not like we have this great franchise like the Yanks where players should want to pay us back. Time after time ex-Sox players kick our ass. The other trend is no name pitchers go eight strong innings vs. the Sox. I hate to sound like one of those always doom and gloom guys but geez ... are we truly hexed??? That is why I now want a kick ass manager. Get me a butt kicking guy or a colorful guy. Hell ... hire LASORDA. HE'D MANAGE US FOR FREE I BET! cwsox
baggio, I will agree easily on the St JosE6 play here to fore discussed, Jose did all he could - it was a bullet shot and Jose did all anyone could do with it - which was stop it but it wasn't Daubach's arm that was the problem - he can't judge the flight of a ball or he was positioned wrong on something - he looked like s*** - and then there was the play where Jimenez missed the ball and then just laid on the field, never getting back into the play... The Critic
According to SportsCenter, Cameron is hitting .408 in Chicago the past 2 seasons...HE MUST BE TED WILLIAMS!! I wouldn't want him back as a FA - he is WAY too streaky and inconsistent. ( Or is that the same thing? ) The Sox make him look great, but he is NOT great by any definition. Jim Fainter
A bad team cannot hide a bad fielder; the ball just seems to find him. It's been that way for years. That's what happened to Daubach. If he played on the Yanks, he probably wouldn't have a hard play all night. Now we all know that he is not a good right fieder. Seems JM should have known beforehand. If he plays, it's gotta be first or left or DH. If JM wanted to rest Magglio, which is fine with me, then he should have put Rios out there. I've always liked Daubach, but he looked like a minor league outfielder Saturday night. Rex, I hope this wasn't too personal for you. What the hell were we throwing him? at least Josh Stewart struck him out once...
CubKilla
at least Josh Stewart struck him out once... And that was on a gift call. Anyone else catch Cameron's "ShamME hop" when he hit that wind blown HR in the 1st ?

Anyone else catch Cameron's "ShamME hop" when he hit that wind blown HR in the 1st ? they showed his 4 homers from last year during one of the breaks last night..he did that sham-me hop on all four of them...justy not as exxagerated as sham-me does them... still you would think one of our pitcher would plunk him once....just to send a message that we will pitch inside...the guys head is hanging out over home plate..he is hitting pitches 6 inches off the outside corner on the sweet spot of the bat
