Brian
F*ck. My idol growing up and the past few years have been tough to watch. I want him to get to 500 homers in a Sox uni, but unless he is gonna take a LOT less money, probably won't happen.
nitetrain8601
Griffey. Please become our savior. I know for a fact that if Paul Konerko is our big bat, we're done.

greasywheels121
Ouch. I just hope we haven't seen the last of him in a White Sox uniform. Get better big Frank!

Allsox
s***! This sucks....And there isn't really a hitter out there to trade for....Aw, man....Well, there goes my dream of seeing the Big Hurt hit a GW HR in a playoff game
Dick Allen
You could see this coming. I wish it wasn't announced until after the deadline. KW's going to have to pay a little extra for a bat. Is there another break? I wouldn't be surprised if Frank is done.
SnB
tough break for the big man. Just think of what his career would have been like if he didn't have the griffey plague recently.
Greg Hibbard
They just said in a subsequent report that he may even have re-fractured the ankle coming back too early...they are not sure yet Edited July 29, 2005 by Greg Hibbard
nitetrain8601
Griffey, Manny, someone who's out there. Play for free, please!!!!!! This sucks complete ass.
Queen Prawn
Griffey is too unreliable in terms of health, in my opinion of course.

bjm676
That's definitely a big blow. We now know why the decline in average. Hopefully, this isn't the way his Sox career ends. Hopefully, KW is on the phone now getting the big bat that we desperately need. Forget a SP.
Greg Hibbard
Maybe the Sox look at Adam Dunn now? Or does Cincy want the farm for him?
ptatc
Anyone hear any specifics? We know how KW likes to keep things quiet. It must be something severe if they announced it before the deadline. Either that or Levineline leaked info he shouldn't have and KW is going to let him habe it.
bjm676
QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Jul 29, 2005 -> 12:26 PM) Maybe the Sox look at Adam Dunn now? Or does Cincy want the farm for him? I was just going to say his name. I haven't heard Griff's name come up. The Reds are going to want pitching, since that's their obvious weakness. I wouldn't mind seeing Dunn here and his 200 K's per year.
southsider2k5
QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Jul 29, 2005 -> 01:21 PM) They just said in a subsequent report that he may even have re-fractured the ankle coming back too early...they are not sure yet If he rebroke it, we have seen the last of Frank in a Sox uniform. We won't pay him that much money to sit out another year. The only way back is if they pay him something with an incentive laced contract for 2007.
