NHL Draft Thread

Power winger, this is a guy both Tallon and Higgins have targeted. Hawks scouted him heavily this season with the U.S. team. He'll play in Madison for at least one year, probably two. I imagine after two years he'll jump to the Hawks.

The other plus, he's a righthanded shot and the Hawks' system desperately needs forward prospects that shoot right.

Tallon is a much more capable GM than Mike Smith.... after reading about the Talent Kopitar played against in Sweden... Skille was the right choice.

I love the fact that he grew up about 120 miles north of here, he's going to love be a Hawk if were not a total s*** bag.

you know, after doing a quick read on the top 15 prospects, i am sold on this kid, this may be the best pick for the hawks in a long time and i am including the d-men the hawks pick in the last several yrs.

i just wish we could have gotten the LA picks. i like what i read on him as well

how deep is the draft???

dang, i can't see the draft, i have to listen via the radio

Bill Wirtz is so cheap.... he didnt even get Skille a little pin-up name plate for the back of the jersey when he was up on stage. CLASSSIC HAWK CLASS

The Capitals took a player at 14 that was rated in the 35's

Colin White the defenseman?

I dont think so... Free agency starts on Monday - im not really sure if he's available

i would love to see him on the hawks.......... mean and tough. since i keep hearing how the hawks are trying to rebuild via the old style.

i seen white play on wing and man, he demanded space and got it

The Hawks signed Jassen Cullimore before the strike, he's kind of in the same mold of White.

I dont see them signing white with the log jam of young D-men coming through the pipe.

Barker-Babchuk-Seabrook

Seabrook being my favorite, he looks like he could be a fan-favorite he's a pretty boy.

if Skille is half the player Michel Goulet was.... he'll be loved in this town... plus his name is alot less girly

i am really excited on this kid and thanks for the correction on the spelling. this kid is going to be the power forward the hawks really need. again this is all based on what i am reading

I think Seabrook, provided he keeps the puck outta the net and has the personality to accompany him... is good looking enough to be a Chris Chelios or a Jeremy Roenick.

Same goes for Tuomo Ruutu, he's a really nice f***ing guy - i got to meet him at the rink one day. (speaks english really funny, but LOVES hockey.)

I recognized him at the Edge one day before one of my games, where alot of people would have had no f***ing clue who he was. just talked to him like a human being for about 5 minutes while he was waiting for someone. He was happy to have someone come up to him and not ask for an autograph.

btw where is collin fraser going to play??? is he a legit nhl or is he a career minor leaguer

Colin Fraser is the real deal... after leading Red Deer in scoring and PIM, he made his way to Norfolk last year for their playoff run. Maybe not this year, but soon he's gonna be a real good 3rd/4th line center.
