YASNY
QUOTE(BobDylan @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 12:46 AM) Call me crazy, but I have a gut feeling the Sox are going to make a huge run for Manny if not land him. I don't think there's a snowball's chance in hell of that happening. Just my opinion.

qwerty
According to the New York Times, the Mets and Red Sox have cut the Devil Rays out of their trade discussions involving Manny Ramirez. The deal reportedly is on hold because the Red Sox insist on receiving one more prospect along with Mike Cameron and Lastings Milledge, but the Mets don't have anyone else Boston likes. Jul. 31 - 8:47 am et The Red Sox and Rangers reportedly discussed a deal that would have sent Manny Ramirez to Texas for a package including Alfonso Soriano and Adrian Gonzalez. It doesn't sound like the discussions went very far, however. The Red Sox also reportedly tried to ship Ramirez to Florida for A.J. Burnett, but were told they'd have to take Mike Lowell and his salary as well. Jul. 31 - 9:05 am et Edited July 31, 2005 by qwerty
