Yeah, I'd love beaz in our pen don't get me wroug. I just don't think he's worth a Chris Young or Ryan Sweeney.

Definitely not. He is a quality arm with goof stuff but to overpay for him would be bad. Baez and Huff for MBac, Sweeney, and Tracy??? Yes, No?

I do that in a heartbeat, wouldn't be enough for Lamar though.

Hell yeah I'd make that trade. But the DRays wouldn't.

Lets say he offers us Huff and Baez for BMac, Sweeney, Tracy, and Fields? To me, that is a bit steep.

I dont think its that steep when u consider its for a shot at the World Series...also Huff is signed for one more year i believe, well he's an arbitration guy, so we wouldnt be renting a player

If you see it like that then it is a good deal. I am not 100% sure on either's contract situation but it would be a risk I would take...

DANYS BAEZ, 28

AGE: 27.

B/T: R/R. HT/WT: 6-3/225.

BORN/LIVES: Pinar Del Rio, Cuba/Miami.

HOW ACQUIRED: Signed as a free agent in January 2004.

CONTRACT STATUS: $3.5-million in second year of two-year, $6.5-million deal; Rays hold $4-million option for 2006 with $1-million buyout.

PROJECTED ROLE: Closer.

DID YOU KNOW?: Baez converted 30 of 33 save opportunities. His .909 save percentage was fourth in the American League and seventh in the majors.

I found this via google. Sox could keep Baez in 2006 for 4 million.

Well take this with a grain of salt since it's the Ny Daily News, actually that probably means it won't happen: While the Sox chose to sit Ramirez vs. the Twins last night at Fenway for unspecified reasons, Tampa Bay was nearing a deal that would ship Aubrey Huff - one of Boston's primary acquisitions in the Ramirez blockbuster - to the White Sox.

Well, he is a FA after this season and I am sure that getting off a s***ty team like the D-Rays and coming to a good team like the Sox would make him happy and hopefully he would re-sign. I believe Huff has 1 more year on the contract after this season so that should be fine. In this case, I say KW goes for it!

That's good to hear, but just a word of warning to people here. If we do acquire Huff and/or Baez, it's going to cost a lot more than people think it will. Just like the Garcia trade, there will be some player involved in the deal that we never expected. Personally, I think Gio will be the surprise. My prediction for the trade is Huff and Baez for McCarthy, Gio, and Sweeney.

this site is going to go down no matter what happens tommorow.

There will be b****ing aplenty, deal, no deal, good deal, bad deal.

And no matter what happens, we'll still lead our division by no less than 12.5 games tomorrow.
