BHAMBARONS
Barons 5 Chattanooga 1 W- Honel (3-5) L- Schmidt (3-5) Wow Kris was outstanding tonight had good breaking ball tonight in the low 90 through his whole 7 innings of work. Allowed only 5 hits tonight walking 3 and Strikeing out 3. In Kris last 3 starts he has allowed only 12 hits. On offense Chris Stewart hit a 2 out Grandslam that turned a 1-0 defecit into a 4-1 lead. That was Chris 4th homerun at Bell South Park this season. Chris Young looks better he had a long double and barely missed another.
Fotop
I told myself it would take a lot for me to be convinced that Honel can be considered a prospect again... Getting his velocity back and starting to pitch well are the first two steps. Being consistent and staying away from injuries? Then we might have a prospect on our hands again, fellas. However, it is good to see Kris drawing some attention again. Keep it up Kris!
DBAHO
There's hope for Kris just yet, he needs to pitch like this for the rest of the season however........
danman31
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 03:36 AM) There's hope for Kris just yet, he needs to pitch like this for the rest of the season however........ No, this year is gravy. Look at Haigwood. He came off the ACL and had a mediocre '04. '05 he has broken out because he's back at 100%. Honel should be 100% for all of '06 and with a strong first half might get a shot at promotion to Charlotte.
