Big Hurtin
Great Work! Gotta love that Geoff Blum trade. That'll put us over the top. Edited July 31, 2005 by Big Hurtin

Jordan4life_2007
Kenny is argubly the most agressive gm out there. If the best he could do was George Blum, you best believe the asking prices were out of this world.

chisoxfan79
Hopefully KW will be able to get some help before the waiver deadline, maybe a bullpen arm.
bulokis
I like the Blum move but still I was hoping for a bullpen help. Oh well, let's go SOX!
greasywheels121
QUOTE(Big Hurtin @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 03:05 PM) Trade WINDS?, more like a fart. How many teams made big moves? Do you HONESTLY think KW just did not even try. Teams aren't budging, and the teams that were sellers overpriced what they had.
Queen Prawn
I am a little disappointed in the lack of moves made, but at the same time I am not. I do wish a move was made, but it sounds like many of the "sellers" out there ever-estimated what they could get for their players.

Somebody needs to tell him that his product sucks and has sucked since they've been in existence. If all his players were that damn good, they wouldn't suck cock EVERY year. greasywheels121
And think about this, for the most part, all the teams are going to stay exactly the same. We've gotten this far against these teams with these guys. I like our chances.
Chisoxfn
Phillips likes it, most everyone isn't really knocking it. No reason to, its not like a bunch of the playoff teams were busy. Other GM's weren't willing to deal, nothing you can do about that.
mrzo2733
I'm hoping something trickles in late. I tend to agree that the prices must have been insane for KW to not do something. Part of me is telling myself that while the other half is furious and wants to start throwing things.

Sox It To Em
QUOTE(Big Hurtin @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 02:36 PM) Great Work! Gotta love that Geoff Blum trade. That'll put us over the top. I can't disagree with you, but look at it this way: We have a comfortable 13.5 game lead in our division, not to mention we have the very best record in baseball. If anything, we are already "over the top." Sure, we'd all love to see AJ Burnett or Aubrey Huff or Omar Vizuel in a White Sox uni, but we don't really have any room to complain. Plus, it's not like any other teams did s*** either. The biggest trade was Phil Nevin for Chan Ho Park. So, I think we're okay. greasywheels121
Also for the people that are deciding to ream Kenny since there wasn't a deal. Name a team that made a deal you're jealous of. I'm not impressed with any of the deals.
103 mph screwball
The Sox still have their prospects and some cash. Something could still happen with players that go through waivers.
jamslam
No one else made a big move, we are still the best team in baseball. We snag some bullpen help and a PH stick before wavier deadline and we are going far!
