Actually I think the Sox may be major players in the Furcal sweepstakes this offseason.

That would be awesome. I love Furcal and really wanted him on this team when there were rumors of him coming here (can't remember exactly how long ago that was). He's really been vital to the Braves' winning this year, and would be a very welcome addition to the lineup. Can you imagine Pods and Furcal batting 1 and 2, allowing Iguchi to move down in the lineup were he would probably knock in more runs and really solidify the bottom of the lineup. I'm not sure, however, what we'd do with Uribe or Crede. I guess we'd get rid of one or the other, or what would be even sweeter would be if Uribe would be happy in a utility role. However, after starting 2 years in a row, I doubt he'd want to go back to being a utility guy.

Last thing, who's Furcal's agent?

Uribe wouldn't be happy being the super sub again, but lighting a fire under his ass would not be a bad idea. Get him 4 games a week filling in at 2B, 3B, and SS...maybe even try him in the OF a little bit in ST.

Adam Katz and Paul Kinzer

Adam Katz is the guy who got Aramis Ramirez his 4 year $42M contract and Sammy Sosa his 4 year $72M deal.
