DBAHO
Very nice outing indeed for Lance, 0 BB's, 9 K's and only 1ER. Very B-Mac like.

Cant wait till next year when Valido, Broadway, and hopefully Castro all be in AA so we can get more info on them all by Bham
Heads22
You know, I was wary of Broadway at first but he's done nothing but perform. Look out Birmingham.

I'd worry about the Sox scouting department if the #1 draft pick didn't do well in high-A ball.
Gene Honda Civic
From the scouting report on Broadway, he's the type of pitcher who we should expect to succeed at the lower levels. It is nice to see him striking guys out, but I won't be excited until I see him start doing it at a higher level.

Well, you know what I was getting at. I had read a lot of stuff saying that Broadway was at the top of his value at the time, and that he was less of a sure thing that a Carillo or some. Let's just say he hasn't given me anything to be dissapointed with and just keeps plugging away.
Cali
Man, I'm getting excited about Valido, perhaps the Sox can finally have themselves homegrown SS that succeeds.
southsider2k5
Jesus, what is going on with the Charlotte offense? They are anemic right now.

I agree. I am so sick of seeing so many good to great shortstops come up with so many other teams and the whitesox still proud of Ozzie Guillen (from San Diego system) and the Dybber...Jerry Dybzinski (who cares what system???). Please Robert Valido...don't become Mike Caruso Also, does anyone know what happened to Jason Dallaero? I know he was a SS/2B prospect turned "pitcher" experiment but not sure if he is completely out of the system now.

He sign with, I think, Kansas City ... and that's the last I heard of him.
MnSoxFan
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 2, 2005 -> 12:57 PM) Jesus, what is going on with the Charlotte offense? They are anemic right now. They ran into some tough pitching, Baker for Twins AAA team 1 hit them and shut them down last week, Liriano beat them twice, both are expected to start for Twins later this season when they dump Mays and Lohse. Last night was a kid with bad ERA, but Rex told me he was very, very good in AA last year, maybe he has been hurt this year.
Rex Hudler
QUOTE(MnSoxFan @ Aug 2, 2005 -> 09:19 PM) They ran into some tough pitching, Baker for Twins AAA team 1 hit them and shut them down last week, Liriano beat them twice, both are expected to start for Twins later this season when they dump Mays and Lohse. Last night was a kid with bad ERA, but Rex told me he was very, very good in AA last year, maybe he has been hurt this year. Seddon is a LHP that I liked last year. He was 9-10 with a 4.39 ERA in AA after going 5-0 with an 0.65 ERA in High A. Note Montgomery was a terrible team last year. He averaged just under a strikeout an inning and a walk every three. He isn't overpowering by any means, but he was just one of those guys you notice that has a chance yet is flying under the radar. Than again, he may bust. For the record he started against the Barons 4 times last year, being very good in two starts, solid in one and bad in the other.
