I don't think he has looked all that bad.  It's like the Jays are seeing the ball real well and maybe guessing right at times.  Still lots of baseball left.

Well, I'll agree to disagree then. He has nothing on his pitches, and is lucky to have only given up 6 runs so far. As Hawk said, he hasn't been pitching inside enough tonight, and Jays are just leaning out and launching against him.

I'll agree on his lack of pitches inside. But they have hit many pitches hard that appear to have good movement. As you said, though, it doesn't matter if the pitches move if they are comfortably diving out at them.

Towers isn't exactly a strikeout pitcher.

And he's not exactly a quality pitcher either.

It's terrible when you return from a promising roadtrip (atleast in Baltimore) only to be dominated by Josh "floating sinker" Towers. His numbers, similar to those of any scrub pitcher which shut us down, is not the result of one, deceiving outting. He's just that bad.

U think..

No other way to say it then that it's simply ridiculous and STUPID! One extra inning for Garland doesn't mean anything. Why not save him the extra 20 pitches he's had to throw this inning?

Completely agree.

So, when exactly will Adkins be called upon to pitch?

Apparently not in 7 run leads or 4 run deficits late in games.

Don't understand wasting him in this situation. It's important to hold the BlueJays to 7 runs, but I'd rather give Adkins atleast one inning (two if he's doing well) to spell our valuable relievers.
