heirdog
I think Borchard should get the call-up now in place of Adkins while Carl is down. We really have not used Adkins all that much so carrying 12 pitchers when we have a serious hole (or holes) in our line-up is a problem. Since most pitchers are right-handed, Borchard gives us the power left-handed bat in the line-up. I know he has been a bust to this point but he is playing well right now and if there is any time he is going to succeed, it will be now when he is hot so let's get some use out of the $5.3 million signing bonus. Anderson should get the call in September especially if Borchard struggles again but for some reason, I think Borchard will be successfull this time. Borchard is not good, he may be playing well right now at Charlotte but he does this every year, we havn't used Adkins lately because a lot of our games have been close so we havn't needed that long reliever. Adkins could be very valuable to this team down the stretch in the long spot. We don't need anymore strikeouts in this lineup right now. Borch can have fun at Charlotte. You'd rather have Timo batting 5th as a DH?

Brian Anderson is a much better option than Joe Borchard. Hell Rosey Brown is a better option than Borch.
