Chisoxfn
I sure hope so. I'll sign autographs for everyone...prices start at 5 bucks for mine or 5 bucks for Mike's, but for 7.50 you could get both of ours
southsider2k5
I actually had an idea if there were going to be a bunch of people for a tailgate. We could get there early and see if we can get a softball game together at Armour park. It could be something fun to do annually as a Soxtalk gathering. Thoughts? Since its a really early start, maybe we could even get something together for after the game. I'm game for it at any time though.

southsider2k5
Before or after doesn't matter to me honestly. I am just curious if we have 15-20 people who would be interesting in playing from here.
southsider2k5
I just had DBAH0 change the title here for me to find out interest levels. It would almost have to be an early game, maybe 8am or 8:30. And if it works out, this could be a fun thing to do annually. Also if there is legit interest, are we talking about 12" or real Chicago softball? I have stuff to play 12", but nothing to play 16", so if people wanted to do that, we would need someone to bring balls.
DBAHO
Just don't make Jason pitch with that girly arm of his.

I'm just impressed you let that comment go Anyways, 12" would be my preference, but I can understand the need to go with 16" if people wanted to do so. It is open to anyone, any age, any sex, so maybe 12" and mitts is the way to go.

I play in a co-ed 16" league - the gals wear gloves, the guys don't. If I was going to the game on 8/20, I'd have liked to play. Oh well. Iwritecode
QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 08:30 AM) Wouldn't co-ed be 12"? Either one is fine by me! I was always under the assumtion that women actually used a ball that's smaller than 12" because their hands are typically smaller. Kinda like the WNBA uses a smaller ball. I actually had one when I was younger. Not sure how I got it though. BTW, I'd totally be interested in this if it were on a different day. I'll be on vacation in Wisconsin racing go-karts on the 20th. Edited August 4, 2005 by Iwritecode
