Classic Cubs fans

This is great. We can see our prospects up earlier in the season and see how the future will be. They probably play better than the stupid team we have playing in the majors. It's back to the glory days of the Cubs before 2003. When we all went to Wrigley just to have a good time and not worry about the outcome of the game. If they win...great! If they lose....that's great too! at least i got my beer. Wrigley field is so much better during the lovable losers era. This board will be better once we know that the Cubs are destined to lose. Go Cubs!

That looks to me to be a sarcastic post, probably from a troll.

The guy registered there like 5 days ago and only has 4 posts, however Cubs fans aren't exactly flaming him for it. The thread has turned into a "right to boo" discussion.

I mainly lurk there to read all the Sox hatred, I find it hillarious, especially this season.

My point is that its ridiculous, absolutely pathetic infact.

Then I guess I shouldn't bring up the thread they have posted on there entiteled "Soxtalk" then should I. They're 1000X worse then us. Especially me, go back through all of my 5000 some odd posts you're not going to see a lot of Cubs hatred there, I hate the Cubs and their fans, I just don't show it as much as others.

You should really check out that "Soxtalk" thread, it's really a good read, last I checked it was up to 3 pages.

It's halfway true what they say. Nothing about the t-shirts because they are just as guilty as we are in that, but all this talking about the Cubs stuff. We have lots of sn's with CubsSux or something similar. We're always talking about them. Honestly, I'd like to see for the rest of the year to just get off the Cubs as a thought. They don't exist to us. We're not playing them any time soon. We got bigger fish to fry.

I agree, but it'll never happen. The Sox are having a GREAT season and I still see tons of "Cubs Suck", "Magic Number 911", and other anti-Cub t-shirts at USCF. I just don't understand the obsession. It's fun to point out stupid s*** that Santo says or some idiotic thread on a Cub board, but if you're going to watch a Sox game where the opponent is not the Cubs, why wear an anti-Cub shirt to the game? It's not clever or funny.

Or the dreaded, "Cubs still suck" chants when we aren't even playing them.

Na, they just shout "Yankees suck" when they're playing the Tigers...or at Celtics' games.

exactly....No point to posting if its going to be worthless.

The funny thing about arguing with a cubs fan though, is that its almost impossible not to win. I got into an "attendance" fight with a guy this weekend, and his main point was that the cubs have been selling out wrigley every game for the last 50 years...
