I've heard so much about Iowa, Are they really that good?

I think #10 is a much better place for them to start than the top 5. They lost their D-line but Tate should be able to flash his skills in a real offense this year. I could see them doing well with an actual rush offense. Their first three games are Ball State, @ Iowa State and Northern Iowa. The UI-ISU game will be on ABC. I like Ferentz, but he's traditionally had trouble with ISU, except for 2003. We'll see how much they miss some of the old defense against ISU. Iowa could be anywhere from first to fourth in the Big Ten. They have five games against @ ISU, @ OSU, Michigan, @ Purdue and @Wisconsin that will be difficult. Their schedule is not set up for success as the season progresses. But then again, the Hawks have their way of doing stuff.

Ferentz is on ESPNEWS now.

Its USC and 118 other teams. USC could probably stay within twenty points of some NFL teams (49ers and Browns) Anybody on here know of a good place to get ND tickets for the USC or Tennesse game? I already going to the game at Purdue.

My sleeper pick: Boston College to win the ACC

My vote is stubhub for the tickets. I've been able to find tickets for virtually anything (only one I can remember having trouble with is Duke/UNC tickets). As for the ACC, Va Tech will be tough if Marcus Vick remains on track.

As for Iowa, I think they got some monster holes. Unless they unearth a running game they'll struggle in a couple of games, and they need a D-line to develop, otherwise a pretty good secondary might have a tough time holding up, and Hodge and Greenway might have less of an impact. Frankly I think Tate is overrated too, although the receiving core is good enough to make him look good whether or not I'm right.

Hart + Henne=Success

Brian, if the game (NCAA Football 2006) is any indicator, look out for Kevin Grady in a couple of years. He turns into an absolute beast by his JR year in the game.

He may even push Hart as early as next year.

UNC gets to play 9 of the top 31 teams in the nation, another fun schedule year. ACC is up for grabs with alot of new QB's starting for teams such as Miami, FSU, and VT. Alot of people are expecting VT to have the same success as the ACC Championship year they had last year, but I just don't see it. Losing Bryan Randall hurts more than they realize, even with another Vick starting. This could be the year that teams like Clemson and Virginia really step up, as they have the two most experienced QB's in the league. One thing is for sure, the ACC is loaded with RB's.

As for outside the ACC, I'm really looking forward to seeing what A) Cody Hodges can do as the QB at TTU, B) Vince Young can do at UT, C) if Ferentz can keep proving he's an elite coach, D) if ANYONE can touch USC.

look out for purdue as a darkhouse in the big 10

It'll be interesting.

Biggest question mark is QB -

Kirsch has A LOT to prove, on and off the field. Tiller's decision to throw the option into the offense should help since Kirsch has just an average arm. Carpenter may get a few snaps since he has the stronger arm and the WR core is pretty damn good.

On the bright side, the defense is back in full and the schedule is ridiculously easy.

Besides Iowa, I think they'll find a way to drop at least 2 more.

Bernard! (I'll always pull for him; despite his university choices) :headbang

Also, is what I'm hearing about Lymon not being able to play this year now true?

the big 10 needs to add another team so we can have a title game, it sucks we miss out on an exciting game like that.

Notre Dame fears a tough schedule beginning to end.
