WilliamTell
That's cool to see Illinois in the top 25 for you Fighting Illini fans. 4 Big Ten teams in it.

Chisoxfn
QUOTE(Spiff @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 09:33 PM) Eh, I think Lendale leaves too. 100 yards and 3 TD's, his stock will be pretty high. He'll also be the best of the group when it comes to pro's. Lendale is going to be a horse of a running back. Give him the ball 25-30 times a game, use some play action, have a good defense. He'll fit in great with a team like the Steelers (not that they need a running back, just that sort of style) or say the Eagles.
Chisoxfn
QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 09:35 PM) Exactly, could we see the next Ryan Leaf? I'm guessing not that extreme but I don't think he'll have that great of a career and he obviously has a super ego. Where the heck do you guys get comparing Leinart to Leaf. Leinart has zero attitude. Sure he thinks his team is the best in the country. I don't fault him for that. They know they had opportunities to win this game, just like Texas did, in the end Texas did enough. Both teams are amazingly good and are hands down the 2 best teams in the country, imo, and two of the best teams I've seen in college football. Make your reservations now for the Fiesta Bowl Illini fans. BTW you know who has the #1 recruiting class in the Big Ten.

Chisoxfn
All I can say is amazing game. Definately on my list as one of the best games I've ever seen in college football. The OSU-Miami national championship game of a few years ago is also on my short list. In a game that meant so much, this one lived up to all the hype and than some. Both teams proved to me that they were two of the best college football has ever seen (not the best, but in that category). Just a totally awesome game to watch. What made it better was seeing all the USC fans at the bar I watched the game at go home quiet.
Milkman delivers
I bet Leinart is a piece of glass in the NFL. I don't think he'll be able to take hits from pro defenders.
whitesoxfan101
Vince Young pretty much by himself (well as close as you can come to doing it by himself) beat a team with about 3 dozen NFL players and a 34 game winning streak IN THEIR BACKYARD. He's like Michael Vick, only 5 inches taller, 70 pounds heavier, a hair faster, way stronger, and he can throw. To be honest, I hope the kid stays in school, he'd be great to have in college ball next year with his seemingly great attitude and amazing talent. Not the best game I've ever seen, but certainly the most entertaining and one of the best finishes I've ever seen. That WAS probably the best individual performance I've ever seen though by 1 man in any sport, Vince is unreal.

I just hope in a couple years the Illini are good enough to go 6-5 and make a bowl, that's all I ask.

nitetrain8601
I've been to OSU a couple of years back during the Nat'l championship season. That place was f***ing loud. The Rose Bowl's walls aren't high enough or steep enough to keep the sound inside, plus there's no type of roof. I've never been to Michigan, but it would be hard to top OSU. Anyway, like I've been saying and Vince Young has been saying, he's going to stay. I think he wants to win another Nat'l Championship and I think he wants to win the Heisman. The SEC conference schools are the best though in terms of atmosphere because they live, eat, and breathe football. Saw LSU at home and it is LOUD!
