All that excitement and NONE of you are attending. And you call yourself Sox fans.

I will be bringing myself and five other fans so we will make up for the ineptness of the rest of you...

:gosox3:

You're all too whiny about it being on a Thursday night give me a break. :crying

We'll be there..

And tell me about the whiny crap.. :rolly

I get up at least 2 hours before most of you "kids".. work a full time job longer then your school day.. and maintain a household.. yet still find the time to attend weeknight games - and most of the time go out after the game.

And then she walks home in 3 feet of snow, barefoot, uphill, in a blinding snowstorm...

I hate that I only get to a couple games a year, if at all. Believe me. I'm pretty certain that I want to live in Chicago, or at least a suburb of it when I'm done with school. I want to have the luxury to go to Sox games whenever, like I can now with Wizard games (A ball team, that's in town).

I'm going to be at school when this is going on, but I'm going to make sure I try to get to a playoff game, if there are some. I'm going to be hating myself, if I don't make it to one.

In order to "defend" my Sox fandom..... :rolly

I'm going to 3 other games in September, plus a Milwaukee game and a Bob Mould concert. Add that to my job, doing things with my daughter, playing my own softball games and some house projects we're working on and that pretty much takes up my time. Everyone has their own decisions to make on how to spend their time and money, and if that makes someone "not a Sox fan", then so be it I guess. :huh

I should know better than to make blanket comments as the one I posted above. I by no means meant anything I posted, and it was more satire than anything else. Maybe if you actually read any of my other posts you would be able to ascertain that I mean what I say about 5-10% of the time and more times than not find humor in the rousings of myself and others on this board.

Critic I should've exlcuded you from my comment as I know your a long-time sox fan who frequents game, I apologize.

I won't dare ever question anyones "fan-support" ever again :rolly

See, that's where the green comes in handy..... :D

There's been such a testy atmosphere around here lately that without the handy green, it really IS hard to tell what is satire and what is serious. Especially when it comes to attending games - that's a really touchy subject for Sox fans, and there's been a fair amount of sniping about that in the past.

Just felt the need to defend my Uber-Fandom, that's all.

......and I'm STILL not going to the Core Of The Core Night....so there....

Both Brooks and Kurt said turnout's been kinda low, and mainly WSI people. Both are hoping it picks up.

The lack of Soxtalk people might be attributed to two reasons. First, we have a Sox talk gathering planned for the Saturday game against the Yankees, which I have made plans to attend. Also, there wasn't much notice given before they decided to try and squeeze this in at the end of the year. We have a lot of out of towners here.

A Thursday makes it tough for those out of town.

If it goes well this time maybe we can work with the Sox to plan it earlier in the season next year, and on a weekend if it's possible.

Not going, unfortunately.

I have a lot of other stuff going on in September.

Ditto (I have my first fitting the following Saturday as well as my shower is some weekend in September, don't know which except that it isn't 9/24 as my mom, brother and myself will be at the game). Right now money is a little tight until we can get past this dang wedding.
