WHarris1
QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 10:09 PM) alright guys i missed the *important part of game. anyone wanna give me some quick notes/observations? Sure can... Rex's numbers could have been a lot better, Wade and the TE's dropped at least 3. Rex and Moose connected on a beautiful 44 yard bomb to the one which TJ ran in from there. Thomas Jones looked damn solid. Both 1st and 2nd team OL looks good. Mike Brown and Urlacher are back and in good form. Urlacher drilled Feely while Brown was all over the place on the run game. Our 2nd team DB's looked like garbage, it was UGLY. Alex Brown and Ogun looked really strong as well. Oh and Mark Bradley is God. WHarris1
Mark Bradley with a HOF game record in receiving yards. Not shocking, he is the man after all.
Brian
Orton did a good job down the stretch. He rolled out and almost had a TD with Ford on that jailhouse blitz. Hope he can do that against 1st stringers.

GoodAsGould
Wow watching that game even if pre-season was awesome... I love football so much. I thought the funniest part was when Madden was saying how long does it take a player to figure out the camera's dont have mics with them. knightni
MAN... I went to bed at 10 last night and missed the 4th quarter comeback. Ah well.. at least it is only the preseason.
DukeNukeEm
Bradley looked good and Orton threw the ball well. Urlacher SCHALACKED Feeley. Just hte preseason, but I had fun.
Chisoxfn
I was really impressed with Bradley. Grossman looked solid, floated a few passes, but he looked comfortable in the pocket and flashed his quick release. Also had a few perfect balls that were dropped that had an effect on his completion %. TJ looked good, very nimble runner and the 1st string units on both ends were impressive. I did notice the officials were calling minimal contact as PI, which dissapointed me, cause I think there is some extent of incidental contact that should be disregarded (especially when a guy is going for the ball). The defense looked fantastic (the starters) and I liked the agressiveness. They were really getting pressure. Oguneley had one awesome sack where he just worked the olineman and took down Feeley with one arm (it was sweet). Simply put, the Bears looked quick and to me thats the ultimate compliment. On the negative side, too many penalties and too many missed tackles, but thats to be expected in a pre-season game and hopefully as they get more practice and game situations we'll see those numbers go down (they should). I liked Turner's game-calling. You can see he's gonna be big on play-action and I saw a few slant calls (one of my favorite play calls) and quite frankly I expect good things with this offense. Oh and Mushin....YES...oh my god, the guy has hands, he is going to make the catches and thats going to make everyone else on the field better (especially the RB and the other WR's). Agree on Rex he didn't look great but his numbers were skewed cuz of drops by Berrian and our complete pile of s*** at TE. Overthrew a wide open Berrian on a deep ball, but Rex get's a break another offense and his 1st real game back. TJ looked good, very nimble runner and the 1st string units on both ends were impressive. Hopefully the more TJ succedees Benson realizes he needs to get his God damn ass in camp before he starts 0 games this season. The defense looked fantastic (the starters) and I liked the agressiveness. They were really getting pressure. Oguneley had one awesome sack where he just worked the olineman and took down Feeley with one arm (it was sweet). 1st team defense looked AWESOME. How nice is it to see Mike Brown back stuffing the run at the line? Alex Brown and Ogun looked fantastic. I didn't really notice Tillman too much, probably a good thing. Vasher is not ready to be a starting CB thank God Zoom will be back by the opener. Also, Alfonso Boone looked great. I liked Turner's game-calling. You can see he's gonna be big on play-action and I saw a few slant calls (one of my favorite play calls) and quite frankly I expect good things with this offense. WE DIDN'T SEE ONE WR SCREEN! Thank the Lord. We went way deep 3-4 times and it kicked a lot of ass. His quick slant is going to be great when our QB's get more used to it - Orton blew one horribly for a pick six. But wow how refreasing was the play calling? Oh and Mushin....YES...oh my god, the guy has hands, he is going to make the catches and thats going to make everyone else on the field better (especially the RB and the other WR's). I already love Moose, this guy is gonna take the whole offense and lead. You see him after he caught that bomb he was fired up as all hell. He's gonna be huge for Rex's development along with TJ's performance. MOOSE!
SoxFan1
I agree with pretty much everything you said. TJ ran well and Turner accompanied the play calling to the ability of his men on the field. If you have 2 guys who can go deep in Berrian and Moose, do it. Berrian impressed me outside of like 1 or 2 plays. Rex threw well. If Desmond Clark was in there, he has 2 or 3 more completions. The O-Line was impressive as well even without Garza. They really opened up some holes for the running game and Rex looked comfy in the pocket. The D was solid. The 1st play of the game when Waly jumped offsides and smacked the s*** out of Feeley set the tone of the game to me. I was giddy the hole time. Brown coming back and stuffing the run gave me goosebumps. Man, a healthy Bears team is gonna rock the NFL with such an easy schedule. Good to see Urlacher back and spaniking QB's and HB's again too.
