LosMediasBlancas
On Pg. 15 of today's Red Eye there is an article about which Hollywood actors could play the parts of current Sox players if a White Sox movie were made. Fluff, but kinda funny. Check it out if you can.

BigSqwert
QUOTE(3E8 @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 09:58 AM) What is the Red Eye? Kind of like a People Magazine version of the Tribune.
LosMediasBlancas
QUOTE(3E8 @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 09:58 AM) What is the Red Eye? It's a spin off of the Tribune. The Sun Times has the Red Streak. It's fluff tabloid stuff, targeted to a younger audience, it's all about Hollywood gossip, music, clubs, bars and restaurants etc. It comes out daily for .25 cents. Its actually more of a shortened version of the daily trib. Sports etc are all summaries. Its passed out for free in the El Stations. LosMediasBlancas
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 10:42 AM) I like to call it the Newspaper for Dummies It's not even really a newspaper, it's a tabloid publication. There is no on line version of it that I found.

Soxbadger
I guess people fail to realize the Tribune and Red Eye have the exact same stories, just they are shortened. More like the cliff notes than anything. And free is free, when they give you a free paper, you just read it, play Sudoku and move on. Controlled Chaos
I haven't seen it given away free for like a year. Gossip paper...and pretty much thinks the whole metro area resides on the north side of chicago
Soxbadger
Its given away free every morning at El stations. Also Im glad that the readers of these boards enjoy the Economist on salmon paper, but I do enough reading that at 6:30 am I just want to know the facts. Antonio Osuna
I typically read it during the school year because somebody leaves free copies on some of the tables at one of the dining halls. The sports section is virtually the only part worth reading.
