Do you agree with my statement though?

Yes, to a certain degree. Those two have to start getting on base more but atleast they've come up with some big hits when we've needed 'em.

By the way scotty absolutey mashed that ball.

Am I the only one who is finding it amusing how much press Rowand has received for his defense in NY, even though his catch vs Seattle was much more important in the scheme of things?

Nope. And I don't think anything from NY was his best work of the year either. Thank Goodness we don't have a biased media.

It's new york. It just wasn't one catch though it was the whole series, he was magnificent and we probably lose that series if it wasn't for his glove. You're absolutely right though if you're looking at one catch that one against seattle was the most important.

Yep, besides for that first inning of the first series, none of Rowand's catches were truly sensational catches. Sure, he got very good jumps and caught the ball. However, I'd guess that almost any CF not named Bernie would have caught a majority of those fly balls. The Seattle catch basically won the Sox the game.

I think that there's very few CF's who would have made all those plays...guys named Edmunds, Jones, a healthy Hunter come to mind, but other than that I think a lot of them would have fallen and been taken on 1-2 hops.
