It just makes boring baseball. Bill James had an idea that I agree with... Managers could only put in a new reliever if... a ) new inning b ) reliever gives up a run c ) one free mid-inning switch per game. His swing is way too long right now. He's getting good pitches to hit, and his back is just flying open. That's why he's been hitting a lot of lazy fly balls to RF. He has nothing behind his swing.
