Bidding On Concert Tickets

The Critic

Recommended Posts

So I got a spam email from TicketBastard this morning informing me about an "exciting opportunity" to get into an online auction for Nine Inch Nails tickets. So now people are going to have to BID for tickets to concerts by "popular" artists??? Looks like TheBastard is trying to eliminate the concept of fixed ticket prices and make the concert ticket purchasing process into a blind auction, therefore almost guaranteeing that people will overpay for seats to shows.

God DAMN, Ticketmaster sucks giant ass.

When I read s*** like this, I'm GLAD I'm a crusty old f***er whose concert days are nearing an end..... :D

I hear ya. It's funny how much money people will pay for tix. Why the eff is anyone paying $1,000 to see a concert? Apparently, a lot of people do, because good seats to shows are never empty. It's not even an issue of having the money, it's just not worth it. I can't think of any band that I'd pay more than $100 to see... and that would have to be for one of my favorite bands in a damn good seat.

Before the "black album" I used to say that Metallica was the only band I'd consider paying 100 bucks to see. Now that is down to $12.50 for them.... :D

There is literally no band I'd pay 100 to see. None.

I don't know why they don't say it, but revenues over face price go to chisox charities.

They really should make that clear - otherwise it just looks like scalping. That's nice that they do that, but I still ain't biddin'!!! I couldn't care less about the Yankees.

I wonder if TicketBastard and Trent Reznor are going to donate the money over face to charity too, then??? :D
