Da Bears

Recommended Posts

I saw this snippet from Dan Pompei's inside dish;

Football fans know the Bears drafted a pair of pretty good defensive tackles in 2004 when they selected Tommie Harris and Tank Johnson in the first and second rounds. What fans might not know is it looks as though the Bears found a third tackle from the same class. Darrell Campbell originally was projected to be a fourth-round pick, but a knee injury caused him to slip out of the draft. He signed with the Bears as a free agent and spent his rookie season on the reserve/nonfootball injury list. In the offseason, the Bears couldn't get Campbell to take a day off. In camp, he has looked like a solid player who can help this year. . . .
