TheBigHurt
I'm amazed they haven't called this game. And I do hope it does get underway.
Dick Allen
The new message was that the storm would hit within 15 minutes and last about 30 minutes. It is not raining there right now.
Flash Tizzle
The last update was definitely not a recording. And there was not one visible raindrop falling on Fenway Pawk. Red Sox officials are dragging their feet. It's obvious they don't want to make this game official before any more heavy rainfall occurs.

Boston doesn't want to take the loss. This one will be called. OR they will shoot the entire ChiSox pitching staff except Adkins and Vizcaino before we restart. aboz56
NESN annoncers said that they are planning on waiting it out and getting the game in. Sounds like a batch of storms are due to hit in the next 15 mins or so and then they may try to play again. So much for the team getting into Chicago in a timely manner this evening. fathom
I'm about ready to admit that this game is going to get postponed. Pretty s***ty that it happened....but it might be good for our bullpen in the long run.

The fate of this game is with the umpires.

Rex Kickass
There is a severe thunderstorm warning in Boston at the moment.
WSoxMatt
I would assume the umps are talking to MLB about how long to let the rain fall, it is the last game vs BOS for us and Im sure neither team wants to waste a precious day off to make this one up!!! Remember in 90 or 91 we waited 6 hours for a rain delay on a sunday afternoon vs oakland!!!
fathom
Was it really not raining for a long period of time at Fenway during this delay?

kev211
There going to get 1 inning in tonight basically because no team wants to give up an offday. Most nights that game would barely be under way at this point.

Dick Allen
More rain is forming right on Boston. Unless they want to wait 2 or 3 more hours, today's offensive explosion will not count.
