Didn't he have two good starts before this vs. good teams. Why can't we get kids like this?

He faced the Tigers in his ML debut and his last start was against the Tigers.

He the best pitching prospect in baseball and possibly the best since Doc Gooden, which means noone gets pitching prospects like this.

I'm just happy he's not in the AL Central or on the Cubs.

It would be nice if he was tucked away in the NL West never to see daylight. We'll have to face him once or twice a year, it's not going to be fun.

We may even face him next week at Safeco.

Well, Cy Hernandez has given up 2 runs in the first inning to the Twins.  Not only that, but Lew Ford is doing his best Torii Hunter impersonation in CF.

And then he gave up only two hits over his next 7 innings. Altogether, he allowed 2 runs and struck out 9 over 8 innings.

This kid is f***ing insane. I got lucky and I picked him up on my soxtalk fantasy squad before he made his first big league start. I wasn't expecting straight-up dominance like this.

Those who were alive and thriving in the 80's....

How does El Felix compare to Dwight Gooden in '85 stuff/command-wise? Roger Clemens? Pedro?

Brando,

He is along the lines as the early Gooden, but we truly wont know how good he is until he matures a bit and they let him throw all of his pitches. But his curve his very remminicent of Gooden's.
