fathom
QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 01:39 AM) this is going to be so f***ing humiliating if we get no hit by santana I must be the only person rooting for the no-hitter? And please, don't say I'm a bad Sox fan for saying that. Sometimes, you have to hit rock bottom before you can regroup.
ChiSox_Sonix
And Santana still has a no-hitter shocking...
JUGGERNAUT
it was AA bowie, so for Os......... edit: but does it matter who it was for? http://forecaster.chicagosports.chicagotri...player.cgi?2782 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's what I thought. Look at what he's doing in AAA this year: 59AB, 6BB, 17K, 1SB Owens 2005 >>> Harris 2005

whitesoxmanager
one thing we know for sure is that Oz is sitting in the dugout just waiting to explode at the drop of a dime....i expect an ump duster pretty soon!

ChiSox_Sonix
Now this is the only time Adkins could come in handy. No use in wasting the arms of actual pitchers in games like this
SHAFTR
QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 08:39 PM) this is going to be so f***ing humiliating if we get no hit by santana why? If you are going to get no hit....Santana isn't embarassing. At this point, I hope he gets the no hitter tonight. This offense has just been anemic and something needs to be done (either through acquisition, improvement or call ups). If this whole month hasn't been enough of a wake up call...perhaps this game will be enough cause for alarm.

No use in wasting the arms of actual pitchers in games like this <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wasn't that the whole point to the 7 man pen? Pull the starter after 6IP? Option Adkins back to AAA & shuffle the deck & call up Owens before we face the Twins again.

So bad that we care more about breaking up a no hitter than winning the ball game. :sigh:
