Slim is hanging up his mic FULL NEWS INDEX By SEAN HAMILTON Showbiz Reporter EMINEM has bowed out of public life completely — after suddenly cancelling a string of UK dates. He is giving up his solo career to concentrate on being a dad to daughter Hailie, eight. The hip-hop star, 32, yesterday axed his European Anger Management Tour, claiming “exhaustion”. Eminem — real name Marshal Mathers — was due to appear in Milton Keynes, Edinburgh and Manchester next month. He was expected to perform to 330,000 people in Britain alone. Eminem is estimated to be losing £10million in ticket receipts from UK fans and millions more in lost revenue from merchandise and album sales. I'm thinking it happened like this. Marshal is reading the story of the Emperor who wore no clothes to Hallie. After pondering the moral of the story she looks at dad and says, dad you know, you really can't rap, you have no talent, most of your songs are crap. It has been his singing that I am appalled at. He has suddenly decided he needs to sing the chorus to every one of his songs, and it just isnt right. When he flows, he isnt bad at all. In a brief statement, Dennis Dennehy said Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers III, "is in the hospital under doctors' care." Eminem wrapped up his nationwide "Anger Management" tour last week, then on Tuesday canceled 10 European concerts that were to kick off Sept. 1 in Hamburg, Germany. Interscope Records released a statement at the time saying Eminem was being treated for exhaustion, complicated by other medical issues. Last month, the 32-year-old denied a report that he was planning to retire. But he did say he might be taking a breather after releasing four multi-platinum albums, including his latest, "Encore."
