Charlotte wins 14-5. Ross Gload, 3 for 5, 1HR, 5RBI's. Borch 1 for 5 with a walk, Willie 0 for 3 with 3 walks. Ulacia picked up the win giving up 1ER in 6.1IP.

B-Ham lost game 1 of the doubleheader 3-2. Haigwood started, 5IP, 2ER, 4BB's and 6K's. Fields was 2 for 2, Young 1 for 2 with 2BB's and a double. Reynoso picked up the loss.

Winston - Salem beat Salem 6-5. Liotta started, 6IP, 3BB's, 2K's, and 1ER to pick up the win. Hall 2 for 3 with a homer, Collaro 2 for 5, Spidale 4 for 4.

Kanny won 9-6. Harrell started, 5IP, 2ER, 4BB's and 4K's to pick up the win. Getz 3 for 5 with 3RBI's. Ricks 1 for 2 with a walk.

Bristol lost 8-4. Sanchez 0 for 4, Cunningham 0 for 3 with 2BB's. Cortes started, 8K's, 3BB's, 1ER in 4IP.

Great Falls won 6-4. Nachreiner picked the win pitching 2 scoreless innings of relief. Clayton Richard started, 6IP, 3ER, 2BB's and 5K's. Hernandez 1 for 3 with a walk.

TOO BAD THE LOGJAM OF GREAT HITTERS ARE KEEPING GLOAD DOWN.  MAYBE WHEN ONE OF THE HOF'ERS RETIRE HE MIGHT GET A CHANCE

 

Gee, let's have the other team call up all those AAA pitchers he's hitting against so he can go 3 for 5 in the majors too!!!! Yeah, that's it!!!! :headshake

Jim, with all due respect, he did hit .321 last year in a sizeable amount of at-bats. That's not to say he'd do the same this year, but he would be the best bat (by far) off the bench, and the way we're hitting right now (or, for that matter, not hitting), I see no reason for him to be at Charlotte.

I'm not a Gload lover, but something he would provide this team is a line drive hitter. Right now, we have too many guys who are swinging for the fences on every pitch. Everett needs a rest, and we could put PK at DH.
