southsideirish71
Well Chacon should send presents over to the Whitesox for this lineup. Agains our buddy Timo leads the rag tag group of non hitters. Lineup with August stats in tow Perez, LF .200BA with a .273 OBP Iguchi, 2B .231BA with a .298OBP Everett, DH .326BA AJ, C .286BA Rowand, CF .242BA and .275 OBP Dye, RF .179BA and .217OBP Crede, 3B .128BA and .180OBP Blum, 1B .241BA and .267OBP Uribe, SS .229 BA .296 OBP For my pick to s*** I am going with Cruddy. I figure he will stay off the line on pull hitters and possibly drop a fly ball because this is on national TV. That impressive .128BA just screams pick me. 4 to 5 hits today for the team, 1 run on a solo home run in the 6th inning. Chacon goes 6 innings with 3 hits and 6ks. fathom
Don't worry SSI, we only face Randy Johnson and Johan Santana in the next two games. Even Ozzie can't justify playing Timo against those guys.

White Sox Josh
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 20, 2005 -> 11:43 AM) Trust me if he gets a few hits today, he will play him. why does he not use Anderson?
fathom
QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Aug 20, 2005 -> 04:49 PM) why does he not use Anderson? If we're holding out hope for Anderson providing a lot of offensive production, we're in trouble. At this point, Timo has a better chance of getting a hit. southsideirish71
QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Aug 20, 2005 -> 10:49 AM) why does he not use Anderson? Anderson will get a game here and there against super tough lefties. But if there is a righty on the mound, we get more Timo.

greasywheels121
Solid 1st by the Duke. He deserves a win after everything he's done since his return from the DL. Get him one Sox!

Gene Honda Civic
Well, if we had an offense at all, I would feel a lot more comfortable with that Duque first inning. Way to Go, Duque! you only need to do that about 14 more times for us to score you that one run.
fathom
Nice to see us catch a break early on. No reason to have Iguchi bunting yet.
fathom
Iguchi's swinging right through a hanging curveball. He hasn't exactly been tearing the cover off the ball lately either.

fathom
This offense continues to suck. We can't even take advantage of a leadoff 2-base error.

fathom
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 20, 2005 -> 05:41 PM) 0-3 w/RISP I remember this team. I can't believe that Ozzie continues to put this same lineup out on the field, with players in the same spot. AJP shouldn't be this high in the order. Why not give Uribe or Rowand a chance to bat higher in the order? It worked for them last year.
