White Sox Josh
He became Charlotte's all time hits leader. I still think the guy can be a decent ML player just not with the Sox.
Jake
I'm not sure how much a guy should be proud of that.
farmteam
It's kinda like how Bull Durham held the record for Minor League homers.
WilliamTell
QUOTE(Jake @ Aug 20, 2005 -> 11:45 AM) I'm not sure how much a guy should be proud of that. Yeah, especially a first round pick.
Jake
QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Aug 20, 2005 -> 02:46 PM) Yeah, especially a first round pick. Goes without saying a lot of us would trade anything to have that title.
WilliamTell
QUOTE(Jake @ Aug 20, 2005 -> 04:01 PM) Goes without saying a lot of us would trade anything to have that title. I'd trade almost anything to suit up with the Knights.
Kalapse
QUOTE(farmteam @ Aug 20, 2005 -> 02:54 PM) It's kinda like how Bull Durham held the record for Minor League homers. His name was Crash Davis, he played for the Durham Bulls and he is a fictional character..
farmteam
I knew saying Bull Durham held the record sounded wrong. Bull Durham was the movie, Crash Davis was the name. I feel stupid now.
lord chas
bring up borchard now
WilliamTell
QUOTE(lord chas @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 10:23 PM) bring up borchard now I'll second that.
YASNY
QUOTE(lord chas @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 10:23 PM) bring up borchard now I've been thinking that for a couple of weeks. Mentioned it to southsider and chisoxfn at the game Saturday.
daa84
QUOTE(YASNY @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 01:41 AM) I've been thinking that for a couple of weeks. Mentioned it to southsider and chisoxfn at the game Saturday. really his .260 average is misleading considering he was hitting like .180 in teh first month and a half. ride the hot hand. id rather see him in there than timo or BA. especially if BA is only getting in 2 games a week
GoodAsGould
Id love to see Borchard up here. It isnt like he is going to hurt us offensively with the way we our hitting now anyways and this could be the last time we see him in a sox uniform. GoSox05
if aynthing it would be cool to see him hit one of those 500 ft home runs on the concourse. I dont see timo hitting anything on the concourse or even over the wall.
Hatchetman
jesus, borchard can't play in the majors. gload is hitting about .370 in AAA though.
AddisonStSox
QUOTE(lord chas @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 09:23 PM) bring up borchard now Butters has a point. At least Borchard can him some long-balls. Seeing as our belov'ed Sox have abondoned smart-ball or small-ball or Ozzie-ball, or whatever you'd like to call it, I think another HR threat would serve this team very well. If we choose to live and die with the long-ball once again, there is no better option within the organization than Mighty Joe.

Sure bring him up...I'm pretty sure I made a post about two months ago right before the resurgance of the powerful Borchard, implying that he has turned it around. Not that I want credit or anything... I still want to bring up Greg Norton
