Boxer83080
I know Bret probablyisn't the 100% answer, but what if we gave him his 3rd shot this year and with the short fences, playoff experience..it might help. He can DH..or play 2nd and Iguchi move over to short. Ican't stand Uribe anyway
rangercal
Brett Boone? As hawk would say: where the f*** would he play? We do not need a post juiced, sobbing piece of s*** in Boone. Next.
Boxer83080
Alright then what has Uribe done all season...hmmm NOTHING!! Tries to scare base runners...Swings at every pitch..rarely ever draws a walk...committing errors of late....I HATE URIBE...At least Boone gives us a chance..when has Uribe evr been clutch? Boxer83080
He could DH...or play SS...

rangercal
Uribe >> Boone Iguchi >>> Boone Carl (DH) >>> Boone Where would he play?
WilliamTell
Yeah I have to agree with everyone, we can't have Boone on his team. There's a reason why he's been dumped by 2 other teams this year.
Boxer83080
Everyone is brain washed with this URibe is good s***...He sucks...Look at his career vs. Boone's career..Uribe can't hit..can't bunt...everytime he's up you don't know what to expect

Boxer83080
The game is on the line...who do you want up with 2 outs, runner on 2nd....Just think about that 16 inning game...Uribe was up 3 times in that situation...hmmmmmmmm? Boxer83080
Alright Tony here is your answer..Stats don't mean s***...The Sox are 74-46 and have the worst Batting Average in pretty much all of baseball...So don't give me all these stats...It comes down to crunch time...who would you rather have...a proven player at the major league level who has been there before...or someone who just plain old sucks...Let me ask you who would you pitch around...Uribe or Boone... rangercal
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Aug 20, 2005 -> 06:25 PM) LOL, I knew it was a waste to even try. Don't even bother, we are just wasting our time with this guy. I am by no means defending Uribe. Boone is just not an upgrade, PERIOD. That funky motion
I'll take the guy who will get the runner home from 3rd base, with less then 2 out 9 out of 10 times. Hmmmmm who is that now?
Boxer83080
Well to me this is panic time....I think we are all frustrated with this Sox team rightnow...they need something...We have to win now...we are not getting griff...or young...who's left??? At least make some kind of move...we need something to be happy about again...I mean all we have was the Geoff Blum trade...and I nearly pissed my pants when that happened...this is bogus

White Sox Josh
As a bench player i have no problem with it. Low risk high reward.
WilliamTell
Who's to say Boone would get accepted in the club house. I'm pretty sure he would, but Uribe already is, especially with the Latin players. Anyways, Uribe is just having a better year than Boone. Boone may have better clutch stats in the past, however I don't think it would be that way this year.
Rex Hudler
The question needs to be asked again. Where would Boone play? He is NOT a SS and Uribe, the guy you seem to hate so much plays SS. Boone has zero fit on this team.

fathom
The only positive in adding Boone was maybe he could provide our boys with some better "vitamins".
