I feel your pain man, but I'd be a little bit concerned if our guys worried that much about a stupid segment on ESPN.

most players on every team watch espn. i know they probably don't care what they say most of the time- but im sure they watch just to see if the critics give them the respect they deserve. And if they watched that pathetic presentation of our great state im sure they were alittle ticked off.

Oh well who cares. let the Cubs get all the attention with there record 60-65 and ours at 75-46.

f*** you ESPN.  Their are plenty of things about the Sox to talk about or list as greatest sports moments:

Bobby Thigpen's Save Record of 57 which will probably never be broken

Frank Thomas

The 83 Team

Mayor Daily's Celebration of the 59 team

Today's team

They didn't mention the Sox once.

You forgot, the 1977 South Side Hitmen.

As I saw with my own eyes in a 1989 Old-Timers Games at Comiskey Park, they kick the 1969 Cubs' ass!!!!

But i'll say it before and i'll say it again,....

ESPN SUCKS!!!!!!!!

I had to write ESPN at least a small blurb on why I was not happy with their telecast last night.

I am extremely upset with your coverage of Illinois last night. The 50 states in 50 days telecast should celebrate the positive aspects of the state, and in our case, Chicago. Instead I see images of Bartman patrolling the airwaves. I look at the votes casted for most popular events and teams on YOUR website and see the White Sox as the favorite team in Illinois. Yet no mention AT ALL of them in your segment. MJ's 6 titles gave way to Bartman and loveable losers. Your segment proves, once again, your bias towards all things Yankees, Red Sox, and Cubs. The White Sox have had years of futility which are being re-written by the team we are watching this year. They have had the best record in the MLB for most of the year, whilst the Cubs havent been more than a overhyped 4th place team. It sadly disspoints me as a long time ESPN viewer and a loyal baseball tonight fan. Your sporatic coverage of west coast and "second tier" teams is losing you viewers and watering down your network. ESPN was started as a rebel station designed to provide the viewers with an un-biased sports only telecast. Now the fluff has taken all of the substance out of your station, as well as the credibility. I now sadly turn my sports attention to our local Comcast network to gain actual coverage of my first place White Sox, as well as honest coverage of the rest of the sports world. Im sorry to say that you have lost a long time viewer.

ESPN is a whore.... and a lazy one at that. Why take the time to make sure the piece is done right, when you can take the easy way out and go with what's 'popular' and turn it into a Cubs spoogefest.

by the way....I had no idea Miles Davis was born in Illinois...what city?

Not too many jazz fans at Sox Talk are there? Miles Davis was born in 1926 in Alton, Illinois and raised in East St. Louis. His parents were educated and fairly well to do, his dad a dentist and his mother an accomplished musician. Miles Davis, trumpet player extrordinaire, was one of the most influential jazz artists in the history of the genre. Versatile, he had success in a variety of jazz idioms from bop to fusion. Illinois has produced many great jazz artists, among them, Nat King Cole, Dinah Washington, Gene Ammons, Johnny Griffin, AACM, Benny Goodman, Eddie Harris, Gene Krupa, Ramsey Lewis, Von Freeman, Judy Roberts and many more.

I'm sure it was just an automated respones. I'll be suprised if anyone gets anything of substance.

After all, we're just paranoid Sox fans who are only good for getting drunk and beating up umps and opposing coaches.
