We had a rain delay, a Barons comeback 4-3 win (scored one in the 8th and two in the bottom of the 9th) and visits from several Major League personnel. Seen watching from the stands were Dodgers GM Danny Evans, Sox Roving Infield Instruction Nick Leyva, Sox Roving Bunting Instructor/Great Falls rookie Manager Cris Cron and Sox Minor League Pitching Instructor Kirk Champion. Sounds like our scouts were watching someone. Were one of the big pitchers on the mound? Yes, Jacksonville (Dodgers AA) was in town. The other guys just making their rounds. That's what rovers do. Then again I assume their are scouts at pretty much every game. It's pretty common. There are always scouts, but not always brass from the big club. It was a s***ty, rainy night. My guess is nothing. I joked with Danny tonight asking him if coming back was a reunion or if he was coming back to the Sox. He laughed and referred to LA as the place he wants to be now. Guest hotsoxchick1 Posted May 7, 2003 Share Posted May 7, 2003 i had heard (from my friend) that kw was in charlotte (sat nite and into sunday) and then headed to bham for a short visit then back to here....if he is in fact in oaktown its news to some in the front office.. as of yesterday it wasnt on their schedule for him to be there...... maybe he went without telling anyone??? im waiting on a call back today to find out what the heck is up...............
