Chisoxfn
QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Aug 22, 2005 -> 04:59 PM) Josh Paul :puke BTW is he still with the cubs organization? He's been with the Angels for two years now (this is his 2nd season). He's rarely used but has been a mainstay on the major league roster. Chisoxfn
Gary Majewski could fit into the bullpen.
Chisoxrd5
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 22, 2005 -> 07:42 PM) Gary Majewski could fit into the bullpen. Definitely...he has been solid for the Nats. It was tough coming up with a bullpen out of former sox draft picks...pretty sad really

Chisoxrd5
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 22, 2005 -> 07:47 PM) And I told you the Sox would do it on Sunday....once you had distanced yourself from the cell Its tough though cause the Sox have had guys in their system, I think it be interesting to base this lineup both on guys they drafted and guys they have developed. Ha...yea I intentionally stayed away as I didnt want you to go 0-fer on your trip. Four homeruns in one inning...we both know that wouldve never happened w/ me in attendance. True...alot of our bullpen has come from guys that have been released or traded to us who we turned into solid relievers. The Sox do deserve some credit for turning these guys around. Marte was an outcast who we turned into a stud reliever.

farmteam
I loved Josh Paul, that guy was awesome. I was only separated by a degree or two if you do that whole 6 degrees of Separation thing. Also, if you count guys who were drafted but not signed, Gagne would be the closer.
aboz56
Man the Red Sox team sucks they have on CNNSI. Guess that's what happens when you can't draft for s*** and have to buy a World Series. :fyou Boston!

Guess that's what happens when you can't draft for s*** and have to buy a World Series. :fyou Boston! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The CNNSI guy did an absolutely horrendous job of creating a Red Sox team. Here's what I have seen on another board, which is far and away better than the White Sox team, which makes it hard to believe how you can say the Red Sox "draft for s***." Revised Lineup: 1B: Jeff Bagwell 2B: David Eckstein, Freddy Sanchez 3B: Shea Hillenbrand, Kevin Youkilis SS: Nomar Garciaparra, Adam Everett C: John Flaherty LF: Lew Ford CF: Matt Murton RF: Trot Nixon DH: Hatteberg SP: Roger Clemens, Curt Schilling, Carl Pavano, Jeff Suppan, Tomo Ohka, Casey Fossum, Mike Maroth RP: Chris Reitsma, Justin Duchsherer, Paul Quantrill, Sunny Kim Edited August 23, 2005 by redandwhite

redandwhite
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 11:08 PM) And Eck over Ray???? Thomas and Baggs are actaully very, very similar, almost scary. But look at Rays #'s compared to Eck. No way. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would still choose Eckstein over Durham if I was to choose between the two to start the season, but its definitly close. Almost as close as the bullpens..
redandwhite
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 11:21 PM) I still think the WHITE Sox should have Gange, they were the ORIGINAL team to draft him... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well I'm assuming your talking about Eric Gagne, but the reason they shouldn't be counted because there are many similar cases for all teams. Mark Texiera for example..
