maggliopipe
http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlinesFrom ChicagoSports.com I don't know much about the guy. No word on the contract. Does this help the team?
OilCan
6'10" bruiser in the paint with very little offense. Can rebound and push bodies around though even though he weighs around 220 lbs, so he'll be a body to throw in every now and then. The Bulls have some 4s now, with Tyson Chandler due to re-sign, and adding Othella Harrington, Antonio Davis and now Malik Allen. O and Antonio can give Eddy Curry some minutes from the bench. The Bulls have some nice depth now.

WHarris1
They also resigned Othella. I heard they are close with Tyson
hammerhead johnson
Malik Allen is a slow-footed, defensively challenged fringe player who works hard on the boards and has a decent 10 foot jump shot. I'm not expecting much. I'm pretty sure that I'll be pleasantly surprised at times with his rebounding, but then again, I'm also pretty sure that he won't be able to contain a Top 20 scoring threat out of the PF slot in this league. Chisoxfn
Nice, hadn't heard they re-upped with Othella. I also read they were looking at Songalia and that would be a really nice pickup as well. Tyson should sign by the end of the week too.
SoxFan1
Songaila would be a great pickup but it would create a logjam at PF/C with Mailk, Othella, Reiner (he gawn), Tyson, Eddy, and Songaila. I wanted the Bulls to draft him a few years ago out of Wake Forest but the Celts picked him up.

The Kings would sign-and-trade him to us for Eric Piatkowski.

Chisoxfn
I'd make that deal. Of course if Pike, Pargo and Griffin are gone the Bulls definately have less depth on the wings. Of course Deng, Duhon, Hinrich, Gordon are quality...plus they have Eddie Basdin (sp??) who I know a lot of people seem to think will be a decent defender (don't know if he can play SF though). Songalia can help out there though and I'm surprised the Kings are this willing to let him get away, IIRC they were always pretty high on him. Yup, he was one of the reason they traded Webber and let Divac go. They were very high on him and he was excellent coming off the bench and he was a great replacement for the oft-injured Webber. I'd love him in a Bulls uni.
Goldmember
Sacramento Kings forward Darius Songaila met for a second day with Bulls general manager John Paxson on Thursday. After agreeing to terms Tuesday with free-agent forward Malik Allen, Paxson said he wanted to "add one more piece'' to the Bulls' frontcourt, preferably a player who can score from the perimeter. The 6-9 Songaila, who averaged 7.5 points and 4.2 rebounds with the Kings last season, fits that description. But agent Mark Bartelstein said getting Songaila into a Bulls uniform "is a little complicated.'' -- Chicago Sun-Times linkage
